It's still a Subaru much in the same way no matter what engine you put in an MX-5, it'll still be a hairdressers car.

Sure.
But girly ownership or not, I don't really think you can call the Classic a hairdresser car in the way the MX-5 is 'perceived'.
I bet all my 'worldly goods'
that if you polled enough bitches, the VAST majority would utterly detest the Impreza's perceived image, etc, etc...

Hairdressers car? No. A **** car in anything other than JDM guise? Yes.
I'm one to talk though my car is pretty girly.

Good spot!
In fact, I'd go to say it's probably the MOST of a girls' car. They absolutely love 'em. (Plus ghey tarty blokes too - you know, the ones with sunglasses and jumper tied round their neck, etc.)
