its a uk shell but with a geniune full sti engine done by central subaru panel filter 3 inch open neck plus straight thru pipe and then ive bought that turbo got to get some injectors and fuel reg and fmic dont know weather to get headers yet or not and them my simtek to be fitted

I've got laterals gt spec manifold and up pipe on my car. Deffo made a difference to performance chap. Changed the exhaust tone a bit which is not to everyone's taste but I love the sound.

yea i heard the equal length headers on a 3 door typr r yesterday and it sounded like a motorbike sounded awsome. thanks for the help mate

Absolutely no play at all is a problem.

There should be no play moving the shaft backwards and forwards
There should be a slight play up and down. If any blades touch a housing then that would be far too much movement and is junk.

there shouldnt be play up and down else if there was the blades would be hitting the housing which is wot you dont need.

A small amount of play is not uncommon. This movement is taken up with the oil pressure anyway.
If anything, a completely solid blade would be more uncommon.
