That's assuming these are genuine type 2021, which they certainly look like they are from the pictures on the Speedline web site.

Most of you guys are ott.
Internet can be a dangerous place for information.
You all quote that i've saw that on such a site and read this and that on another site.Unless you know the correct details please don't give people a hard time for the hard work they have put in their cars.
First off who in the right mind will sell a genuine WRC blobeye for £17500 when the real WRC would fetch over £100k as quoted by Rodney @ Wrcspares?
Yes i know Colin and the car and the wording might be wrong in the advert but that doesn't give you the god given rights to shoot it down.
The car won't be easy to sell but it would take a dedicated scooby fan to buy it at that sort of money.I would seriously doubt you will come by another genuine panel WRC blobeye in UK so exclusivity is garranteed but that carries a serious price tag.
You won't be able to build another car like that for that sort of money so hence why a genuine 22B owner is going to be looking to purchase this scooby for his collection.

regardless of what people think on the price at the end of the day it will be worth what someone wants to pay for it wether that be 10k or 30k
you will be amazed at what people pay for things that they really want !!!!
again misleading add or good advertisement ????

I don't know the car or have any interest in the car but this thread is typical of the scoobynet band wagon. This is a guy trying to sell a car and he is being slated by people who don't know him or the car. Perhaps the title could be worded better and the spec of the car elaborated on but most of the people who have posted wouldn't know the cost of half the parts fitted. As for the value, its worth what someone wants to pay but a value has to be placed on it to start a sale. If its to dear it wont sell, if its to cheap it will sell immediately thats up to the seller to place an initial price on the item. I read the add and didn't for one minute think it was a genuine WRC car for sale. Shocking behavior on a guys for sale add

I like it , but what would happen if you had a bump and needed to replace a panel ? Insuring Imprezas is hard enough I imagine this would be a nightmare !
Good luck with the sale tho

Look at the first line in the advert........he describes it as a "subaru wrc S10", looking around these cars go for 215,000 euro's ..... http://www.rally24.com/rally-cars-fo...s10-21450.html
So I guess he comes in for some stick as it's somewhat misleading![Smile](images/smilies/smile.gif)

Although I fear that even if he had put "WRC S10 Lookalike" the thread would still have ended up going the same way.

But Shaun, it is a Genuine body panelled Subaru WRC S10. Its really bull the amount of hating on this thread. You couldn't build this car for anywhere near £17.5K. Have you ever seen another one for sale......Eh i don't think so. I would have thought better of you Shaun.

Don't get me wrong this is a good looking car and someone will get a bargain if they buy it, looking at our cars how much have we put in cash wise and how much will we get back.........not as much as we put in LOL![Big Grin](images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
I have no issue with the car and look at my post 29 where I really didn't want to get into any mudslinging but my issue is with the advert where the car is described as a WRC S10 car .........which is simply isn't. Why not describe it as a genuine prodrive panelled rally car replica ?
As I said I'm not into any sort of mudslinging and someone will get a bargain it's just the wording on the advert![Smile](images/smilies/smile.gif)

I'll guess it will sell then......![Smile](images/smilies/smile.gif)
Had a garage tidy out today, found my old 19" Kahn's with Pirelli rubber, 18" OZ's in the Rota boxes I changed them for, the old swissol wax stuff including an unopened autobahn wax tub, various WRX bug items, clocks, steering wheel, intake stuff, WRX TMIC, WRX catted exhaust, WRX lights back and front, short shifter, rear tar ox brake kit, godspeed front brake kit, some guages...............and more importantly all the Hasegawa aircraft kits I built when I was a lot younger![Smile](images/smilies/smile.gif)
I guess you have a garage like mine![Big Grin](images/smilies/biggrin.gif)

surely the fitting and painting of the panels would be expensive regardless of the cost of the panels.
the car is not my cup of tea but it is obviously well built and unique im sure it will sell.
i would think it probably cost the asking price to build it anyway.
the wheels and ap brakes are surely worth at least 3k
give the guy a break hes built a unique car and made a very good job of it by the looks of it!

I will put a price list up later, but the rear panels are 1k each, front panels depend on if you want carbon fibre or not, a proper rear spoiler (not composite) is 4.5k, doors ain't that bad either, door cards on the other hand are more expensive than the door panels ![EEK!](images/smilies/eek.gif)
