Do Nissan supply a proper service plan for the first 3 years, what does that cost ?
I just ordered the new Merc A45, and being used to 160 quid Vauxhall services for wifes bus was something I knew id have to get a grip with, my first services is 350 2nd is 550 and so on. so I will be taking our a plan at 32 quid a month....
that being said Subaru did want to charge me 950 quid for front and rear pads.
I did them for 100, using proper pads. what a raping that WOULD HAVE BEEN....

Agree about the raping but 2 sets of "proper pads" for 100 quid send me a link to some of those please.

My next service is March and I have 2012 suspension going on, some brake cooling ducting and the start to my rear spoiler
I have just passed 15k miles (over the weekend) and I am still on the original set of discs and pads with no signs of cracking.
Tyres have become cheaper and there are aftermarket brake discs and pads too.
I have adopted the 2011- schedule on my 2009 and only do 5000 miles a year, so it sees the dealer for an annual oil change for which they charge me £150 and I supply the oil myself, they stamp the book and last time gave a year's Nissan recovery. I had the trans oil changed by the dealer at 18 months when it only had 9000 miles but have just changed it myself 3 years later (old stuff looked like new though but was aftermarket and a bit jerky when cold), Pentosin FFL-R designed for the GT-R was under £200. I am not changing the front and rear diff oils after 13000 miles of road use since they were last done. The secondary air filter looked clean and only squirts air into the exhaust when cold, so I did not replace it.
Things like sparks, air filter, coolant, brake fluid are similar in frequency to most other cars, and overall, engine oil once a year and trans oil every three isn't a killer. Depreciation has been very kind, but mine is a long term keeper. I don't consider I am scrimping on servicing, just doing it a bit more sensibly considering its mileage which the official schedule doesn't allow for on the early cars, but I am not selling it and it is out of warranty, so my only responsibility is to myself.

Servicing is not that bad... I use a well trusted independent and my servicing costs are very low. I still take my car through every 6 months, purely because I collect parts for 6 months and then with the service other bits get added.

Depreciation has been very kind better than any other car I was looking at!!
I believe they do, but I have used Sly for everything except the 1200 mile service.

Mine's just ticked over 27k miles.
A few niggles with creaking seat and dashboard. Fortunately the car is loud enough that I only hear them on occasion but not what you expect from a car that essentially cost in excess of £60k!

Quick update.... had the 2012 suspension fitted and quite a noticeable difference, pretty much what I wanted comfort is more comfortable, race is not as harsh and normal is somewhere inbetween.
Also had the first stage of the custom rear spoiler done - the mounting to the chassis is done and is completely hidden next I need to find an aero specialist to build the rest of it. Any recommendations?

Well just back from a roadtrip..... 4200 miles in 3 weeks and the GTR was fantastic! 2200 miles with 15 other GTRs trip went through France, Italy, Croatia, Slovenia, Germany and back to France.
Did a single "tourist" lap of Nurburgring, in torrential rain - couple of us were led by someone that knows the track (who was on Dunlops ). Laptime was was around 16 minutes I think, I have it on the BlackVue
Only issues I had was a TPMS sensor kept losing the plot and had to put some oil in. Also managed 164mph on the de-restricted sections of the autobahns and lost my nerve, since the slower drivers loved to just pull out at the last minute with no notice.
Had absolutely fantastic responses everywhere we went, the locals were great!!!!!
On a side note, my front discs and pads had started to crack (very very fine) before the trip, so now need to look for new brake discs and pads.
