Quick vid from Pod ont he weekend, lost loads of quality when i converted it but never mind....

made an 11.324 pass at 122mph....slower than last time, but i wasn't using LC2, instead i had COBB level 1 3300rpm launch with VDC off and as you can here the bridgestones just squeal searching for grip. Was a hot day and no car out of my mates was able to hit previous bests, for reference Stock GTR was running 11.95/12s which is very slow!

EDIT vid not working will stick on youtube

The last time I was at the Pod my Scoob was stock and ran 13.17. Problem I got now, do I bring the GTR or the 470bhp Scoob

Similar issue... 380bhp scoob or GTR? My vote is GTR as it's quicker and has comfortable suspension setting for drive there and back

I'm leaning towards the Scoob, not because it will be quicker but to see the improvement. Launch control with 1BAR boost off the line, twin plate clutch and FMIC...got to be looking at mid 11's?

Never had mine on beforehand... So nothing to compare to. Very tempted to sell scoob but prices have dropped so much it's almost not worth selling though...

I still recon the Scoob with be more enjoyable down country lanes, but maybe I'll change my mind after adapting to the GTR.

Is that wheel spin around the 14/15 second mark?

Sounds great

Yes, with VDC in R mode i was tripping it into cutting my power, with VDC off too much wheel spin

Hope that the MY11 LC4 upgrade will allow a R mode launch with out pulling the power.....probably wont, the only other option is to lower first gear boost i guess, or get some better rubber

I read somewhere on gtroc that someone with tuned MY11 was still having issues with R mode cutting in on launch. If Cobb supports in gear boost values should be fixable. I guess it's a fine line between too much torque and wheel spin and not enough and a slower time.

Yup, i guess if the MY11 with 530bhp and LC4 can crack 60 in 3secs then tapering 1st gear boost to that like the MY11 will mean you can get out of the traps and then unleash the additional power once rolling....perhaps something John might be able to comment on?

What is your quickest to date so far if it was slower than the last time and do you have a slip or video? What's the power output, 600-650hp?

Sure you can alter first gear boost for different switchable maps and modify the boost response by pedal position for each gear individually, should help.

11.112 @ 124.8 590bhp on Surrey Rolling Road Dyno Dynamics

Sounds good John, i'm speaking to ben now about injectors and downpipes so will get him to maybe dial back 1st gear boost for a drag map and see how that goes

Won't the downpipes push noise levels up too far for track use?

Yes, but car is mainly for street and booking track time is always in advance so just have to go for the unrestricted or higher noise level ones as and when they are....the downpipe release so much more power it's hard not to do them.....

Should be interesting to see the results. As Ian pretty sure mine will go for optimisation and then straight in for ypipe, dropin filters and cobbs

Had a 32GB USB stick delivered today, so I can load my tunes on. From what I've read this program is required to make sure the music plays in the right order:

http://www.anerty.net/software/file/DriveSort.php

Apparently the sound system plays by the date/time the file was created instead of by Alphanumeric file name.

I hope I can copy the Sonos music library from NAS drive on to the USB stick using that program. The music is recorded in AAC lossless, but I'm not sure the audio system supports it? Might have to convert everything in to MP3...

I didn't know there are days with raised noise levels

John another question on map switching. If I fit larger injectors can the OEM stock map be modified to suit so when the Cobb is removed for service the car runs ok?

yup, there aren't as many dates obviously but they are there. Plus with downpipes you can spit fire out of quad tailpipes, that surely worth it alone

just back from a 150 mile round trip down to Eastbourne, Brighton and back. Found some great places to do photo shoots, but need some of the roads to be empty (which they will be in winter).

Up to 850 and loving it!!!

Nice one, all you need now is some good looking Japanese chicks to drape over the car
