Looks like it doesn't fit any Classics (even phase 2 cars) and some JDM Newages.

https://www.scoobynet.com/587300-sca...-feeler-7.html

and

https://www.scoobynet.com/general-te...e-give-me.html (from no less a sage than Splitpin)

Shame because one of these would have fitted my PSI3 pod very nicely.

I received a reply this evening from www.UKOBD.

They are interested in offering a Group Buy and are offering a 10% discount if we can raise 10 orders for the Linear Logic ScanGauge II with X-Gauge.

I am not going to have time tonight to put this in the Group Buy section as Im up at 4.00 in the morning for a 2 day visit to Germany and still have to get my papers ready.

Perhaps interested parties can put their names down here for the moment..

I have e-mailed Gareth this morning to see if they will offer the firmware upgrade (presently £25) in the Group Buy price. Also, I have asked if the price includes p+p.

I have also asked which Impeza modes the unit is a direct fit to....

OK....I have received a reply from Gareth.

The new units do not require the firmware update. This is only required if you have an older unit and want the update.

The price including p+p is £117.90 delivered.

The unit is compatable with all EOBD compliant vehicles - legally this is petrol cars from 2001 onward, and diesel from 2004 onward. The law only applies to EU supplied cars.

There is a link on this page http://www.ukobd.co.uk/Hand-held-Tools/ScanGauge2.html should anyone wish to contact Gareth with any questions.

For some reason I cannot post this on the Group Buy section so I am now reliant on anyone else interested in this unit to put the above details on the Group Buy page.

Anyhow, I'll start the list.

Considering one to replace my PSi3 which started to act up during the cold weather, although it's as good as gold at the mo!
So it's worth a BTTT

This thread is slipping down the leaderboard and may become forgotten?
As the OP said, an SN member with access to the Group Buy section could post it there?

John - I have been back in contact with Gareth about the buy. Hopefully, he is going to provide me with a discount code that can be applied during the purchase that will give us the 10% discount. I'll let all know via this page when I have that code and any individual wishing to buy can PM me and I will give them the code.

I'll e-mail Gareth tonight for the code.....

Gareth at www.ukobd.co.uk has provided me with a coupon code to use on their website to obtain a 10% discount on the Scangauge2 I have just used it and it works fine apart from my paypal account says £116.55 and the ukobd website delivery note says £118.63 - guess that the paypal number is correct?

Gareth has asked me not to publish the code on a forum so if any user wishes to PM me I will give them the code to use on their site to make a discount purchase.

The coupon code will last until June 19th 2011 so you have a month to save up !

Got and fitted mine. Although I have a PSi3 I've had problems with the display during cold weather so as they are no longer available, I got a Scangauge to replace it.
It's a good piece of kit although it can't supply some of the readouts of the PSi3 eg Air/fuel ratio (or lambda) knock correction, injector duration etc (I've mailed UKOBD to see if any of these are available through the Xgauge facility) It can be set to provide 'horsepower' readout! (You'll all want one now!)
Altogether, a useful gadget to have.
PM Molbyman for the discount code.

Worth going to www.scangauge.com to check vehicle compatability as '95 - '99 cars are mentioned.

Clever piece of kit.
Gives almost all that the PSi3 offers with the addition of instant MPG, average MPG, power etc.....

I bought one for my old classic (an STi 6) ages ago when there was a previous group buy. Although the classic has the right connector it just doesn't work I'm afraid. If it doesn't work for an STi 6 then it won't work for any classic.

Something for the Classic owners to consider?
Quote from the instuction manual under "Troubleshooting"
Problem - Connects then goes to sleep after 10-15 secs
Cause - ECU requires only Supported PIDS (common on 1995-1999 Subarus)
Solution - Use MORE}MORE}MODE}PIDSselect SUPPORTEDand SAVE
The solution is a series of inputs using the Scangauge buttons.

Yep, I even remember reading that and it still didn't work. I think the US Subarus (which the manual is really referring to) were different than the UK/Jap Imprezas.

I've been advised this morning that due to the low uptake of this offer, the coupon code offer has been removed.

Guys,

Ive just bought my 05 plate sti, the first on the list of modifications is some gauging, so as the PSI3 is super rare, and reading this starting to have issues now due to age (if I could even find one!) this scan gauge bit of kit seems like the right way to go.

Question:
can they display Oil Pressure and Oil Temperature?

Thanks Guys.

Ollie

Kind Regards

No they can't, but to be honest that's the only downside of them.
