Sorry fella not a fan some nice parts but the vent and the bumper are hard to look at if I'm honest. Effort should always be rewarded so well done getting the car back on the road

Jura
That is the one that I am looking at replacing the current vent with as I'm probably going to get rid of it, I was always undecided on the vent and having looked at it again I think I'm going to change it.

The engine does look even better in the flesh and I still have a few more Samco hoses to fit onto it yet.

Like I said at the start of the thread, it perhaps would not be to everyone's tastes as the vent is not to mine having reflected upon it.

The bumper is a WRC replica and I do like it, there aren't many of these in the UK outside the HTA copies. Everyone has different tastes and if we all liked the same things then it would be a boring forum.

Just as long as pslewis does not come onto this thread...

No problem, glad there's something on the car you like , the vent will be going.

I forgot to take some pics of the new seats and door cards, you might like the Spec C Black STi interior.

Looking good Tyrone. Not entirely sure on the reverse scoop. Is it a Kakumei one ??

Thanks Boyd , it is a Kakumei and it's the same CF as on the rear spoiler so it matches up well and the WRC mirrors have a similar CF, BUT I think it 'overpowers' the front end of the car.

The reverse vent will be up for sale soon.

Well at least they don't answer back, they may struggle a bit while you lock them down into your wellies but it's all worthwhile.

And besides an hour in any direction from my house (apart from south which would put me in the Irish sea), I can drive some of the best roads in the UK.

Default The Bonnet Vent Change

I was never really happy with the Kakumei carbon fibre reverse bonnet scoop, so I have changed it for a far 'simpler' and less fussy HT Auto's reverse vent.

I think it doesn't overpower the front end of the car and looks far better.

These pics were taken last weekend in the rain, I will take some better ones later on.

Looks nice. Not a fan of any other scoop than a proper one.......changes the look too much Not a fan of the mirrors either sorry. They just don`t go with anything Good effort on everything else though

Like I've said before we all have different tastes, the mirrors though I think do go with the carbon fibre vents in the front bumper and the carbon fibre rear spoiler.

I don't mind that you're not a fan but what do you mean by 'fully modified'?

I agree Ty - your mirrors compliment the bumper inserts and rear wing , I'm not sure on the style of vent though

I am a fan of carbon scoops, so may be a little biased in that direction. Certainly less conspicuous than the other one

That reverse scoop just doesn't look quite right, almost a bit heath-robinson, doesn't do the rest of the car justice to me

Which one Jon the first or second type fitted?

Have a look at some pics I took at Rally Fest what do you think of the modified STi scoop on there?

I think you've got to see the whole car to get an idea of how everything works together.

As it happens I'm not a big fan of the full carbon bonnet, scoop, roof and boot lid myself.

All the proper Spec C's didn't have skirts, the lardy fat boy Limited models did have some I believe as well as spats.

It's weird, I believe a Subaru isn't a Subaru unless it has a big boot spoiler and sideskirts but if I had something like a Spec-c I wouldn't want to change it so I'd probably get some other revered version.
Probably can't see myself selling the crap wrx I have though.
