Recently I have only had one non hatch driver wave back (not seen any hatches to wave to in the last month or so!) so now only wave back rather than wave first.

I wave - most of the time they dont wave back, so i might have to wait to see if I'm waved at. I do wonder if its cos i drive a bug wagon?
You boys are mean about us women drivers - most of the time in the boyfriends blob Sti i do the waving from the passenger seat as he hasn't spotted the other Subaru.

In my classic turbo I always waved regardless, though I did refine the wave to start from the steering wheel , look like it was a wave but if there was no response the hand would swivel into a or pretend i was adjusting something in the car
Classics use to wave, newage less so
Now I drive a sport I find the snobbery level even worse
And dont get me started on M3 drivers

I always wave or flash lights, sometimes I'm too slow or the missis says I missed one and I feel bad.
Sometimes other people wave at me, looks like they are holding an invisible sausage though - which is weird. I just do a standard issue palm-out fingers straight wave back.

Sorry bud if i'm ever in Norfolk I'll wave. All the hatches down here just ignore you. The drivers are always wearing a suit. Sometimes i think the only people who can afford to buy a brand new Hatch are buisness men who don't really get it, 'It gets me from A to B' kind of people.
Please correct me if i'm talking complete monkey nuts!

My wave is more like a **** salute strangely but i rarely do it now as the novelty wore off about 6-7 yrs ago and now just feel like a twit each time but the missus has started doing it now after 2yrs of mocking me and saying it's sad, apparently she feels aparts of the club

I always wave second! ! When the mrs is with me she will ask every time "who is that?" when I tell her I don't know and it's a scooby thing she calls me a weirdo and geek!! Some women just don't get it!

My missis and the kid point out scoobies - so we have 3 pairs of eyes!
Should hear us in the car "scooby!..." "scooby!" "classic?" "newage, hawk I think" "scooby!" "where?!" "black, gold wheels - over there" All the time, whereever we are. Walking etc - doesn't matter hehe I converted them lol

I bought my new hawkeye sti a week ago and when driving to work last week I had a couple of impreza owners wave at me in the space of about three days. I nodded back at them. I would have waved but it was too late (plus I wasnt too sure if they had waved or not as there was glare in the windscreen). But I think its a good thing. I hired a Mustang in the States a couple of years ago when on holiday (was a birthday treat!) and passed another Mustang and he gave a clear wave when I passed him so I waved back. I thought yeah it's a cool thing to do My wife just laughs.

Don't take my first reply too seriously !!
If in Norfolk, most cars don't seem to have working indicators, or the webbed fingers make it difficult to operate the stalk, so take care !!

There's a few Impreza's round by me and since owning mine for 5 days , I've had waves , flashed lights and one guy stopped in the street to chat as I passed in mine. I'm still getting use to waving to Scoobys and not e30's lol.
