No offence, Sal, but the only virtue of Rye House is that you can put us all up on the night before, and your generous invitation to a BBQ
Rye House is a dump - and the loos recently won the World's Stinkiest Bogs Championship. Last time we raced there they had to get the Fire Brigade to pump the drack dry as the circuit backs right on to the canal (bring your fishing rod) and the water table is only half an inch below the tarmac. And the track is narrow. Also, nobody will be able to find the bl00dy place! Apart from that, it's great
Buckmore Park is maybe the best circuit in the UK to drive, facilities are good and you can see most of the track from one spot (and the rest is shown on CCTV monitors) and on a nice day it is really wonderful, set deep in the woodlands of Kent. On the other hand, when it rains (very hard) rivers of mud swirl across the track and we will all end up chocolate brown from head to toe. Guess you can't have it all, unless we go to PF International near Grantham, Lincs - best facilities in Europe.
We (me and Hoppy Junior) are up for Buckmore - and Rye House if it comes to it. Thing to check at Buckmore is whether they run the full circuit for corporate enduros. I think they do, or almost all of it. If so, the thrill, and challenge, of taking the sweeping right-hander down the hill is something to remember - flat-out, four-wheel-drift, maybe 60mph in a Pro-Kart. Then a hairpin back up the hill
See you there, or wherever.
Cheers,
Richard.
PS Richard (Billious Hobo) need any drivers to bolster your inter-F1 team? I know someone who might be interested

Must be a while since you went to Rye....The circuit now has a new club house/changing rooms/bar/balconey etc....It was built about 18 months ago and is vastly better than Buckmore for facilities......The track still needs re-surfacing though
Agree about the downhill section at Buckmore, in a 100cc 2 stroke it's an experience , but stadium bend at Rye is err, interesting as well....

Richard - he's looking for a summer job, so that's sorted I think he may have an inflated view of the wages, though - how many £m does the assistant to your assistant's assistant get?
Jeff - yeah, it was prolly two years ago and if I'm honest I seem to recall the steel skeleton of a new building going up then.
I take it all back! And viewing is excellent at Rye, give 'em that
Not much run-off on the top bend, though
Richard.

'Real' men don't need run offs....
Last time I was there I had a stone through the windscreen of the Scooby....this time I'm going to park a long way from the circuit
Final details should be available today...

David-
Hmph! You've poached her then have you? Judging by my driving I wont be a welcome addition to your team!
If it is being held @ Buckmore Park I'll come along with my pom-poms and cheer you on!I'ts only round the corner from me!
Otherwise I'll bow out and get some practise in- for my first time I am amazed I came off it in one piece!
