Scooby Soon, do you mean make iOS better than Android, easy mistake comparing a phone with an operating system. Android phones are confusing like that with so many phones and so many different versions of an operating system. Take your issue with Mail, which version of Android mail is better than iOS? You can't say the latest version as different phones have different latest versions!! Personally I don't have an issue with Mail on the iPhone other than the 200 mail limit, is that what you mean?
I made the point because I was talking to a good friend over the weekend who is one of Europe's top IP/Patent lawyers
he is acting on behalf of Nokia -- who are suing Apple (Nokia, along with Motorola and Ericsson own most of the mobile phone technology patents)
Nokia have requested Apple furnish them details of mobile phone technology and patents used in the Iphone.
Apple replied that they could not compy as they have no idea (in a low level technological way) how the mobile phone technology works in their Iphones
maybe that explains why the phone performance is so poor

Gmail/email is the same on all Android versions, I have the latest version on the first ever android phone (g1)
My car stereo has an iphone plug in cable so would love to plug it in, but the email system is a killer for me
Was that their exact response or are you or your friend making it up? Please respond soon as I'd like to see this story published as soon as possible, I can't believe such a scoop could come from Scoobynet. I can probably find the firm your friend works for but if you could provide a contact address it would make like easier.
I suspect that the answer was somewhat different to "they have no idea" and most likely explained that components in all phones are purchased by manufacturers.

Can IOS run multiple email accounts with multiple signatures (different one for each account) with different notification sounds for each? Also the "push" email never works properly on my ipad.

that maybe true -- I don't use Google/Android

mines been fine for over 2 years now.
only downside is when IOS 4 came out the 3g i have took a hit as its too slow, But the wifes IP 4 is perfect
Nokia Ericcson etc all been hit by the Iphone as its one if not the biggist seller ever.
Nokia even had to adopt a windows mobile cos symbian is shat and didnt support half the new apps.
if i had to choose 2 mobiles for any1 it would be
Iphone
HTC
the point is they have no real understanding of the mobile technology that underpins it
a bit like trying to get an answer to a low level board error on a Dell server -- the would not have a clue
whereas IBM or HP and probably Apple would (because they have developed and own the patents that underpin their products)

He had spent all last week in the states, maybe that's why, anyway he gets paid whatever the result so I doubt he gives a fvck.
btw – it was meant as an anecdotal comment (but genuine) - you shouldn't take it so seriously
looks like Apple settled

Nokias biggest mistake was not doing a windows mobile phone
Ages ago I used to test phones for both nokia and Microsoft such as palm devices etc, I always ribbed the guys at nokia to say ditch the nokia **** and get at least 2 wm devices but they never listened , nowntheynare struggling big time I,ll give them 12 months
The top dogs nowadays are
Apple
Htc
Samsung
Sony
As windows mobile gets bigger anod windows 8 releases it's gonna be a 2 horse battle apple or windows android will last but be at the ba k due to functionality differences

Just got the HTC Desire S and I am really impressed with it.
I thought it might be another over-hyped piece of tech, but it has really impressed me with quick and easy it is to use.

Why has Nokia been left so far behind?
