Honestly mate, you're wasting your time with that on here. The West and especially the US is perfect don't you know?

No it's not but I believe it is more reasonable and just than many previous empires and the alternatives, and this comes from the nature of US founding principles etc the enlightenment, quest for liberty etc.

It's more just and honest than claim to offer a utopian alternative based upon altruism etc. There is nothing worse than elites who claim to want to serve the people, to work for them etc in the name of some collective ideology, whether it be communism, Islamism etc....always built upon a lie.

Also isn't china in the deep end, due to building empty cities all to keep that vital gdp up.

If they keep that up, it'll all come crashing down like a deck of cards.

Well it's riding a Tiger if that is what you mean. It's gotta keep growing the economy to provide jobs to the newly urbanized peasants; you got a whole thing in motion with a dangerous momentum. If it fails for a moment you have a destabilised society which could implode with major unrest.

I sincerely believe the Communist party's appearance of being in 'control' of the economy is an illusion. They are flying blind.

Any country which persists in spending beyond its means to buy popularity and relies on borrowing on the grounds that our successors will have to pay it all back, will sooner or later wind up in recession.

Well something has to end, my guess is that it is the currency.

Debt money is unsustainable, because it is debt...requires more debt to service it...like a pyramid scheme.

Clearly you can't end up in a situation where the sum total of the real economy is being used to service the debt because then people would starve!

History would suggest that the currencies implode from time to time and we start afresh.

You are right, and that is why I was saying that we cant carry on borrowing just to pay off the interest on what we borrow.

The fiscal behaviour of the previous government is beyond comprehension, how they could be so irresponsible is unimaginable.

It is unimaginable, but they only think in terms of the next election I am afraid. OTOH it's always been like that but I think the current political class (especially on the Labour side) is especially cynical and ambitious - and thus put their own political careers above what is right for the nation - the problem with a virtual professional political class - they are too desperate for their careers because they have nothing else!

I think there should be something in the British constitution mandating balanced budgets.

That's not an argument calling a country 'evil'.

Why not support the existence of a sovereign state?

On what basis should the US support the destruction of Israel?

Any other states they should destroy?

Yes I fully agree. What they have done to this country is little short of treason.
