Oh yes!
I want a scale crawler in the style of how I would like my 1:1 Cherokee to look. Being near the coast means theres rocky beaches to crawl over and being in wales means theres a few slate quarries around the place. Hopefully get some awesome pics up in the summer.
Need to get it finished before summer holidays. I've got plans to give my 1:1 Jeep a mild lift of a few inches and plan to do the lot on the driveway (during this time with a partially built 4X4 on the driveway, I'm planning to get a rusty shopping trolley for the front lawn and a German Shepherd)
Red Necks Rule!

been out this evening with the MT,..... guess what.. my Body Mounts are almost snapped!! nowhere seems to have any in stock to buy!!! taped them up for now and they seem firm
couldn't work out why the turning circle was so poor.. till my Father-in-Law read in the instruction book and got the reason why!!!

Re turning circle. Does the steering move to it's furthest point left to right? If not, the servo limits probably need adjusting - take off the servo and move the wheels by hand left and right - do they move further no disconnected - they will a bit.
When the steering is on full lock, do both wheels point the same way i.e. are they parallel on full lock - that can cause turning issues.

At least spares are generally only a couple quid....better than a few hundred on a real car
Actually, I'm quite surprised how much of a bashing a lot of these cars take before something breaks. Imagine the damage on a real car after rolling it at 30mph!

well my spare parts came today, I stripped down.. fixed it.. went out to try it... 15mins later broke the same UpRight axle... Hit a park bench at full pelt.
good job the spare packet had two in it.

Well, I've built my crawler and received the shell and all the parts but haven't got a motor or speed controller - ordered from the states and went for cheap-*** postage and it's taking weeks
I ordered the shell and bits from the states using cheap post and that came in just over a week.

I've almost finished my Optima Mid rebuild. Lunsford titanium turnbuckles on the way - eye watering price! I've tested a set of Lazer ZX5 CVD shafts front and back which fit just fine so need to order another pair - handy because the OE drives are push fit for the hexes not pinned. Brand new geared diffs have gone in but I'm waiting for a rear ball diff kit to come up on ebay. Only thing I actually don't have is a front arm but bidding on one on ebay.
Bodyshell on the way from Kuwait, belt cover from Canada and an alloy rear wing on the way from Thailand
Going to Pontefract on the Weekend to see the wifes folks so have put in a request with the boss to visit Modelsport on the way home on Monday. Thinking of getting my daughter an Ansmann Mad Rat - at £50 for the kit, she can have a go at building it and if she loses interest as quickly as she did with golf it won't matter too much

Tamiya are just about to Re Release the Tamiya Fast Attack Vehicle which isn't exactly my COT but should pave the way for the Wild One next year which was my first RC car and will be a purchase for sure. Theres also a release date for the Avante "Truck" which hopefully will be original Avante/Egress chassis not a rehash on a current chassis.

I eventually sold it and retired, a few years ago i bought a Traxxas revo and popped an RB engine in it , that was fun didnt break as much but tuning the engines and starting was a ball ache so i sold that as well hehe
good fun but prepare to spend lots on broken ****, especially doing what the above vids do, i only raced indoor and out and broke crap
do you know what the suspension spring spacers do? I've got three different sizes in a pack.. and they look like a horse shoe (a bit missing out of a 'ring') so you can clip in/on/off as required, putting more on compresses the spring more? what does that do?
what front/rear split should I do with them.. more on the front than the back?

All part of R/C racing and part of the "fun", stripping down and rebuilding.
