I hate my new apartment. The next 9months cannot come soon enough so I can move back into a house!

Now as you know I am not one to moan but:
Gas is extremely expensive compared to oil
I am constantly aware I am not on ground level
There is no hose to wash my car
My neighbours kid is noisy(not his fault he's just a kid)
My neighbours in general are noisy
I live in a nice area but you have to go through a scummy area to get to it and i've noticed the scum like to come down this part as they can smell things like clean clothes and cooked dinners.

There is truth in the saying that if you have good neighbours, don't ever move as I am planning on either driving my car right upto my neighbours bedroom window(which luckily is very easy to do) and redlining at 8000rpm thru my nice unmuffled exhaust at 3am Sunday morning or showing how much noise I can produce with my lovely 500w 12" Monitor Audio Subwoofer hooked directly into my ipod as payback for last night.
Yup sounds like your not enjoying it

Been in the house 7 months and it's finally feeling like our home. I know what you mean about it not feeling quite right, I reckon 9 months to a year and it will feel right. It didnt help moving in with just a blow up bed and a pillow for the first 2 weeks until our stuff arrived from Syd, just felt all wrong even though it was the house that ticked all of the boxes.

I have never wanted the clocks to change and spring to break as much as I have this year, I have hated being stuck in doors not able to enjoy the outdoors which became a way of life down there, it's amazing how quickly you take that sort of thing for granted.

Why the hell would you move from Sydney to the UK,Gutted for you.

I moved into my place about 7 months ago. It's a great place but just not for me. I gave it a decent chance but I'm still looking for a new place.

Got the Mrs up the stick and lost my driving license - all in the same week near enough

Not the best time of my life I have to say.

Had no choice but to move out and live closer to my job. Worked out OK though as we only had to pay £99 for our house (ex MOD Annington homes) so got on the ladder fairly early.

Couldn't house/flat share at all. I am a hermit and hate the company of others for longish periods of time, I blame retail but I like my own space.

Just an update(as i'm bored and NSR is a little quiet)
I am now settled and like the place but we are committed to leaving as soon as our contract is up as it just isn't the home for me.

What I'm lovin'
The closeness to the trainstation(very handy for when the Alfa refuses to start)
How close I am to local shops/bakers/cafes
It's a great area for going walks as the scenery is great around the coast

What I'm not lovin'
One of my neighbours has a pre-pay electric card meter. Every morning, evening and afternoon it goes off constantly.
Another neighbours child keeps pressing the buzzer for my apartment every feckin' morning, can't ever sleep-in on a day off because of it.
I think i've mentioned it before but there is an odd smell in the hallway. I then noticed that a neighbour brings their black bin into their house and guess what, the warmer the day the worse the smell. I can only imagine the smell in the hallway!

If I'm being honest, I think myself and my missus are the only tax payers in the building.
