Yes it's an awfully ambitious political class.

At least someone like Cameron comes from a certain privilege. I believe this can moderate people and give them more balance...they are less desperate and greedy, more moral.

No, I mean your average person on the average wage of £40k with a Mortgage and Family.

Cameron has - it is claimed - £15 Million ....... inherited, not earned, with an Eton Silver Spoon education - about as far from the man in the stree as you can get!! Not a clue of the real world ...

National ave. salary was about £22-23k before the recession. It's now circa £21.5k.

Where'd you get £40k from?!!!

Yes it was a global crisis, but the UK would have weathered the financial crisis a lot better had Labour not borrowed and spent money like it was their last term in office!!

Come on, don't be daft, we are on ScoobyNet - not FiestaNet!! £40k is starting salary if a Scooby is your weapon of choice.

LOL

I know they can be expensive to run/put right/mod/fuel, etc. but do you really believe that...?!

I'm living proof that you certainly do not have to be on that ballpark salary to run one, that's for sure.

And no, I'm not down to my last penny of disposable income, for the 'privilege' lol, every month neither.....

I struggle to see how one could run a home, family and Scooby on anything less than £40k to be brutally honest.

What's Tony worth now ? more importantly it's how he got his, at least Cameron's wealth is ethical

Cherie ? another person you dont associate with ethics she certainly manipulated her husbands position aided by him to make her millions.

Cambo's a saint in contrast

I'd agree that in the SE especially you probably would have to earn 40K to buy a family home run it feed 4 people and fuel up a scoob and have it serviced every 6K without hammering a Credit Card on a regular basis

Ahhh, there's the rub.

I'm single with no dependents. Plus don't really spend much of my disposable income on anything other than my Scoob!!! LOL

Agreed

Personally, I believe that labour were very lucky we had a global financial crisis, because it masked a lot of the problems they created before the economy crashed. And then, a ruined global economy gave them something to blame it on.

They were already blowing cash all up the wall and building up our debt a long time before the world got in to trouble.

I remember you saying the same some time ago, but that time you were saying £90K! Of course you were trying to impress us all with your salary at the time!

We have not forgotten anything Pete. Especially how NL turned a strong economy as left by the previous Conservative government into a deficit in less than 2 years and continued in that vein for another 11 years to dump our economy into its present parlous state having also failed to stop the banks with their greed and sharp practice thus being part of the world recession.

Why do you bother to remain in denial as you do-you might as well admit the truth of the matter since the people of this country are not as unintelligent as the politicians think they are!

Twice I've asked you that question in recent weeks and you chose not to answer on both ocassions, there's just no way of spinning it for Teflon to look good is there, even Alastair Campbell would steer well clear.
