For Company Car Drivers
The Chancellor has announced that, effective from 6 April 2003, the benefit charge for private fuel is also to be calculated by reference to the CO2 emissions, following the same percentage figures, as well as the discounts for cleaner fuels and the 3% surcharge for diesel, as are used to calculate the car benefit. Employees driving the cleaner cars will pay less income tax on their free fuel than they now pay, whilst others will be charged more.
Looking to get a bit more info on this.
