a) they are both related to Aberdeen
b) LEO is not a new member to this board by any measure
c) One has a TT-RS and one had a TT-RS avatar
d) I was critical of Mitchy's thinking and his car - although I do not think I was personally rude to him
I think they call it circumstantial evidence. Anyway, I should stop as I sound like a stalker, although my research did while away the whole two minutes when my train was delayed the other day. Although I had guessed who it was from the very first post so it didn't take very long looking.

Like I say - it could all be coincidental. Mitchy's comments are usually pretty benign based on his posts elsewhere.
I am was all mouth irrespective of which usernames I used Rannoch/Spooky Mulder/Trout. But there was no secret

LEO-RS and Mitchy260 accounts are the same user, yes me. I never once pretended otherwise though and made it more than obvious in my postings. How would a new user know details of JB's car and Trouts fetish for anything Porsche, Aberdeen TTRS's etc? I could have been a lot more subtle and hid behind an alias had I wish to have done so You can also check the Mitchy260 account is redundant, it has not been used since and now lies dormant. I cant even get into it now to post under the user as I deliberately changed the email/pw's for that account to something random as I did not want to post under 2 aliases like many people seem to do.
The reason the username was changed was due to a private plate I received on my birthday (LEO, initials of my children) Mitchy260 account was therefore made redundant.
Not quite sure why any of that is a fail or a double fail whatever that word is supposed to mean
I stand by my views and not sure why I would need to have created a new user account to voice them? I'm anonymous anyway so what difference would it have made if I posted from Leo acc or Mitchy acc?
Mattee, we've been through this whole never never discussion before, lets not go there ;-) Investment of the capital vs depreciation and all that I very much doubt Trout has £120k capital tied up in his Porsche? Perhaps I'm wrong but I doubt it.
I stand by my views on Trouts Porsche. What is wrong with that? Am I not allowed to voice my opinion? It is loud, it is in your face, it does have a ridiculous colour scheme, that's my opinion, just like it is Trouts that my TTRS is a tarted up Golf (I didn't lose sleep and have a vendetta against him, honestly )
Trout actually posted up pics of a GT3RS before xmas in another thread to which I responded in the same manner (Under Mitchy acc, that is what made it so obvious to trout that it was me.)
Jesus, look at the abuse I have received purely because I had a different opinion
I think I'd have you in a straight line in my little tarted up Golf Trout

"Jesus, look at the abuse I have received purely because I had a different opinion"
Does it need to be stated any more clearly - you did NOT just have a different opinion - you were insulting too. Now you've been "found out" (I'm sure you wouldn't have admitted this had Trout not rumbled you) you're trying to justify your little outburst.
Sorry but you've made a complete t1t of yourself and your ailing credibility is currently at the bottom of a very deep mineshaft.
Now if you can learn to express an opinion without being sly and insulting, maybe you can claw back some respect.

I dont think I was personally insulting, I was talking about stereotypes. Like BMW drivers are bigger wan*ers than us Audi drivers How TT's are for gay men. (Look I even had a dig at myself) How Ferrari and Lambo owners have serious image problems and so on and on. I made a comment about the car saying it was too in your face, a ***** extension for middle aged balding men if you like.
Only insulting if you take it that way and I knew from Trouts postings in the past that the chap had a tough skin. I doubt he went and slit his wrists over my comments.
A GT3RS is a car for the track, it is a ***** extension car on the road. I dont know how else to put it without sounding 'insulting' to be fair. I was not rumbled, I had no reason to say it was the old Mitchy in this discussion, it had no relevance.
Anyway Trout, you're driving around in a loud **** extension car, Mattee is driving around in a tractor, and Im driving around in a gaymans Golf.
Wooptey fookin doo.
Some of you guys really need to get outside now and again if you let this sh*t bother you (Trout has clearly taken it with a pinch of salt, it's all you other lot getting your handbags out )

Over explanation/justification = fail
Insulting stereotypes = fail
Just enjoy your TT, try and cut the insults and stop over justifying yourself. It will stand you in good stead.

Credibility amongst strangers who I will never meet. Come on Mattee, get a grip fella I have real friends in real life, I'm not part of this newage facebook virtual world that lots of us seem to live in nowadays. I couldn't give 1 Iota if I had credibility or online hugs from strangers around the country.

Mitchy,
just a couple of thoughts bouncing around my mind.
When I posted up my response and referred to a TT-RS, why did you remove the TT-RS Avatar you had?
The second one is more puzzling - reading your posts elsewhere you seem like a fairly sensible chap, indeed if one word springs to mind it is benign. So why is this thread causing you so much heartburn?
Even where we have interacted before you have made your views clear, and me mine, but nothing like this.
And my final thought - if stickered up, ballistic missile cars are not to your taste - then how the hell did you end up on a Subaru BBS for so long
Something to think about
Splosh!

To your 2nd point, it's not causing me any grief, I enjoy the banter of it all. The conspiracy theories, the myths, the insults (Banny, did I call you a ****? I can see why you drive the car you do fella )
I used to own an Impreza many moons ago. Got rid after about 6mths, truly awful cars, luke warm performance, horrendous running costs with horrendous build quality and reliability issues that they have no place in 2011. Joke guys, sit down, Where's that fishing rod smilie gone
In all seriousness, I dont venture out of other Marques and NSR.

Mitchy - how much do you charge for financial advice?
What with the £50+k car on the tick, a massive mortgage while house prices are tumbling and a nanny, you sound like the sort of guy I need to learn from.
I suggest that you are hampering your desperate climb up the social status ladder by choosing one that doesn't have any rungs.
Litchfield/RB320/many other Imprezas "luke warm" performance? Blimey, how to win friends and influence people on a Subaru website...

Well - at least we totally agree on one thing. I would also like a Turbo S* over a TTRS, a million per cent.
*Strangely though, I see them as far more of a mid-life crisis car than a GT3 RS - wifey thinks so even more than me!

A £55k TTRS bought today will be worth £40k this time next year come P/X. I would therefore lose £15k in cash over 12mths in addition to the missed investment opportunity of that original £55k. PCP wise, the car would have cost me max £10k
Cash is not king, well not in a heavily depreciating asset it is not. You're better keeping it within reach and making it grow whilst generating an income.
What 28yr old having bought in the last 5yrs doesn't have a massive mortgage? You may also want to research the Aberdeen(shire) property market before posting nonsense about property crashes. There wasn't a crash up here fella. I bought my first property at the height of the UK crash in 2007, sold it a year later in 2008 and made £50k or so. Prices have been in stagnation since, up and down each month at around the same level. No big drop though. Aberdonians are too tight to sell for less and the rental market in Aberdeen is strong, very strong with the oil industry.
3 kids, £45 a day nursery costs, you do the maths fella and then tell me a nanny isn't worthwhile. I'm not rich, not even wealthy no. My outgoings each month are horrendous but ploughing any spare cash into a heavily depreciating asset is financial suicide to me.
Trout is a clever guy, I remember a few posts of his where we were on the same wavelength ref financing a vehicle rather than buying 1 with cash funds. The trick is obviously sourcing a vehicle and betting on its depreciation. For me, the TTRS is manageable, I can put up with the monthly outlay no probs and I couldn't care less if it were truly mine or not in the sense that it's PCP'd. It will be getting swapped again in 2yrs for something else and on it goes again.
Not going to get into that though, talk about taking a thread off topic.
Trout, you would be able to nip to Tescos in a Turbo S and no one would bat an eyelid, very nice cars, not OTT and in your face. Do that in a GT3RS and you would have all sorts of unwanted attention, that attention would soon come tiresome unless that's what of course you bought the car for ;-) (Which is a stereotype of a flash git )

So Mitchy, not interested, don't care but...
...still write a few hundred words in reply every time.
Oh hang on, I'm not responding correctly am I?
WHAT YOU ARE ONLY 28 YET HAVE A TTRS (I shall ignore the fact that's it's technically not yours) AND A MASSIVE HOUSE WITH A MASSIVE MORTGAGE AND A NANNY AND PROBABLY HOLIDAY SIX TIMES A YEAR IN ANTIGUA/VERBIERS AND LIVE IN ABERDEEN AND AND AND AND...
Hang on, look at these stats - house prices in Aberdeen are tracking the rest of the UK market - except always worth a lot less...Not like you to be ill informed is it?
http://www.upmystreet.com/properties...-aberdeen.html
There, as that was the response you were seeking, that is the response you shall get.
Anyway what a waste of a thread about a lovely car, a guy that's properly made it (not living on the never never) but is humble and errrrmmm oooh yes a lovely car.
Meanwhile you can go search GT3 RS forums and tell them all how your rented TTRS is better than all of them.

Yours would break down half way along the runway and Trout would be seeing a TTRS rear wing in front of him 444bhp and 315lbft isn't earth shattering in 2011.
Mattee, I shall ignore your post mate, I really cant be arsed getting into a ***** waving exercise about wealth or money. If you can afford the monthly outlay, what's the problem? It's not me swinging handbags here, you're attacking I suspect the majority of the general public that finance things.
You'll probably find the majority of the GT3's are rented too, only fools with their money or seriously rich people are going to have £120k depreciating heavily and not making a return Perhaps not, I have not studied GT3RS depreciation. Tell you what though some Lambos and Ferraris depreciate much harder in cash terms than what you would pay renting and investing the capital.
Mortgage is just rental from the bank btw, exactly the same way a pcp is rental from a finance house
