Nice motor Paul, I was thinking of getting one of these last summer but I opted for the LC instead and have now moved onto another Evo as I've realised how sh!te the weather is in this country most of the time so it's 4WD hard top for me.....

Good luck with it mate, it looks a beauty.....

Nice Motor POC
Cant beat a convertable beemer for the summer, used to have a 325i Motorsport with bubble leather & all the kit, sounded great looked great but what a nightmare on the motorway, me and the missus drove from London to Edinburgh 80-90 + all the way, couldnt have a conversation due to road noise only downside, big upside the ladies love em especially when u drop the leccy hood at the lights

Enjoy the summer, the posing and the ladies

Nice car mate....very impressed and I must say I am very tempted to get one myself and sell the 328 sport. The best place I have found for Interior and Exterior styling is ESP Design....they are very helpful and any problems they help you out, plus they get the bits there for the next day.

Without sounding rude how much did u pay for that beast...mail me off line if you prefer. Cheers Mate

Yeah, the plate will go on as soon as I get the log book back, the stupid dealer sent off the logbook before I had even come to pick up the car , gits, so now I have to wait for it to come back......

Had it all arranged too, the buyer of the car is putting his own plate on the scooby, he was going to pay to have my plate transfered at the same time. Now I have to put my plate on a retention cert, meaning I have to pay another £80

Oh well.... a few weeks cant hurt.

I really dont know what to mod DAZ, it looks good, goes well, handles OK - I dont like spoilers on BMWs. I just got some EVO rear lights, will put those on this evening.

Steve - No chance mate, enjoy my car

The only other mod I did to mine, apart from evo lights, was put a narrow black splitter on the front bumper like the M3 coupes had as standard - looked cool

Looks top motor...almost tempted myself
Agree that best kept fairly standard save for the Evo bits.
Not having tried the convertible M3 whats it like for noise with the hood up on the motorway? Also do you notice any scuttle/shake that people always go on about?

Hi Wilf,

I dont think I will be doing much to this in the way of mods, but there is a company that prodivde a supercharger conversion mmmmm 400bhp Maybe not! That is quite expensive!

I have noticed a little shake, it is a very solid car though, even cars designed as convertibles from scratch have a litte shake. I havnt yet been on the motorway with the hood up, I have only driven it once with the roof on, first impressions are good, fairly quite. It is a bit noisey at 100mph with the roof down though!

Paul,

The splitter isn't normally available separately but I got mine from a guy called Nick in Loughborough who deals in BMW bits and advertised in "BMW Car" magazine. His phone no. was 01509 234949 or mobile 07768 400048....but it was about 18 months ago. If I remember rightly it only cost about £55 and he met me half way with it.

Lizzy
