Because he is Australia's top run scorer of all time and makes them a fortune.

I'd say he is in the top 3 all time great Australian Cricketers, he does loads of TV ad's has a very successful charidee that makes lots of money for the kids and is the last of their World Class players. Even though he is on the downward they have no one else of that calibre coming through.

But is disliked by the majority of the Aussie sporting public, I didn't find one person that had a good word for him as a person or as captain in the 2 years I was there.

You cant knock his record though, even if he is a ****

Not having a good time in the last year though is he

How many times has he lost/failed to win back the Ashes

I do agree though, possibly one of the best players Australia have ever had and it seems a shame that he's going to be remembered for the bad things.

Has anyone seen the BBC World Service Scorecard?

Excellent, don't need my calculator anymore.

Just click on the game you want to watch from the list underneath.

Well you could blow me down with a feather... But you'd have to restate my heart 1st.

Game of the tournament, well done Strauss.

I've been away in Newcastle and was following it on my phone.

Bloody joke losing to a non test playing nation, particularly when they were down and out with 5 wickets gone. Bowling and fielding was a shambles and clueless.

Bloody well done to Ireland though.

Really ??

You famously beat Pakistan in the last WC following which Bob Woolmer "died", that got some media coverage if I recall.

Well done the Essex boy with his knock of 60 ;-)

What a funny game cricket can be at times. I'll take a win over South Africa over a loss to Ireland any day!

One thing is for certain, if you want value for money follow England, four of the best games of the tournament without a doubt.

Great finish

Well done

My heart is struggling to cope at the moment. I was certain that we had lost yesterday so went from the depression of losing to the elation of winning in the space of 1 over

Worrying about KP's lost form. I know he's injured but his ODI average (since 2008) is about 23 if I remember correctly.

KP coming home, Morgan flying out, no loss, just means Bell end or Prior will probably open with Strauss neither of which is exactly piling on the runs.

The PAK v NZ game is a bit lively

After 40 overs NZ were 164-4 then up stepped Ross Taylor who hit 131 of 124 ***** with 7 sixes and 8 fours

100 off 5 overs

Dropped twice on the way too

World Cup 2011 seems to be defined by individual performances (1 of them English and hopefully O'Brien and Taylor have some English relatives)

It appears that the Pakistan team now have the highest ever run chase in Sri Lanka on their hands.
