i used to do some extra limo work for www.thelimopeople.co.uk as i remember it was around £150 to hire a limo for a prom, but prices most prob haave gone up alot in 3 years. Ash my son had a prom a few years back and kev very kindly took him in his type r and all his mates were dead imprest and if there was a convoy of them how good would that be.

just seen this ( havent been on the site in aaaaaagggggeeesssss lol
im the Ops manager for a coach & limo company
we run 3 ford excursion limos that seat 13 passengers
the reason prices have shot up and limo companys have dwindled down to a few is because of the laws that they run under got tightened
(2 limos got crushed by VOSA last week that were being run by a rouge operator)
if the limo you have hired is able to carry upto 8 people it should be being operated as a private hire car under the taxi licence by the local council.
if it is able to carry more than 8 it will be licenced by VOSA and the company MUST have an operators licence (the reason the company i work for needs me there)
i would ring the company you have booked with and make sure they have the proper licence for the limo you have booked
if they havent and VOSA pull them over (there out in force prom season)
your daughter and mates will be left on the side of the road
worse still if theres an accident and you need to claim off there insurance you will hit a brick wall,
My boss was the first in Wales and one of the first in the UK to get the PSV Ops licence
and spend thousands on each limo to bring them upto spec,
we charge about £350 for a return on a prom or £250 one way.
be carefull with some company who say there legal because they "dry hire" or what ever reason
the two i mentioned above are the ONLY legal way they should be operating

With the amount of us we should be able to provide scooby convoys for hire....
I'm sure there's a market for it
