ooh, they didn't mention that - I've seen SBDs 'racer' version with 250bhp (otherwise mostly identical though) in action and that would've made the R500 look slow.
and yes I can't imagine anything without a proper roof winning an 'all round' test.
good article though, congrats on winning - I did have a sneaking feeling before I even read it that the Exige would win.

Porsche (owner went home in a sulk)
Quaife Elise (gearbox/clutch went south)

david, true the box in my escort box broke,truth is though i have NEVER broke a gearbox in this car whilst taking part in a track day or sprint, the only differance on this occasion was that i wasnt driving it! hmmm makes you think doesnt it!

Checkout this months CCC magazine for the Ultimate Track Car shootout featuring none other than Pete Croney in his demo car.
