Well per the last week it's been hectic getting the car ready for the Mazda sprint it's firset event since starting the project.
Everything went well on second map with Duncan at RCM , I ran it down the farm track on the sat after all was well boosting fine no leake cleaned and ready to go!
Did a week at work got down the workshop fri just thought I'd check all was ok took it down the track and it wouldn't boost properly seemed to be hitting a wall around 4k.
Back in the workshop she went plugs out cleaned regapped , IC pipes off cleaned , checked all vac pipes for splits non found , changed boost solenoid today same problem .
Absolutely baffled so rang Duncan he's coming on Thursday night got the event at 7.30 next morning .... The joys of Motorsport hope he sorts it out

Well after nearly stripping everything off the engine and checking over pipes connections etc I have finally found out the boost problem or not ...!
I changed the throttle body gasket for a new one as I thought the old one was a little tired and another thing ticked of the list that was a possibility.
Starter motor out again cleaned and replaced thought this was the problem as with the battery kill switch replaced this still no electricity then wiggled the main feed to battery and bingo power !!!
Traced the wire back to positive terminal and hey presto found the the lug attaching the cable to battery clamp was holding the wire in only by electrical tape as the cable was making and breaking causing Motorsport pump to have an intermittent fault , so after fixing and crimping a new lug properly problem solved finally !!!
Just need to put some wets in my spare wheels fuel up put it on the trailer and prey for descent weather on Friday c u at Blyton if your going .

Finished work and headed down garage few jobs I wanted to get done after my track day on Friday.
I changed the coolant pipe to turbo as mine split on last lap at Blyton , I then needed to clean wheels and brakes of all the dust that the blue stuff NDX pads produce, think il try some ds2500 next heard these are a good pad.
A pic of the Dunlop CR311 cut slick
While the wheels where off I cleaned discs and callipers with brake/clutch cleaner to remove any dust

Me too mate in all honesty but it came at a good price and can never turn down a bargain !
Going back to V6 high level in white then putting a carbon wrap on inner top part of the spoiler , (just experimenting really).
Think the white boot and bumper will give it a different look plus over the last 15 mths of build boot got a little scratched same on bumper , so a fresh look

I think it will look better in the white, never was keen on the black in my opinion.
I think loosing the wing is a mistake though, i love those roudy looking big wings, but i would have left it carbon and not sprayed it.
Carbon wrap, no no! Real or not at all ha!.
But on the positive side, car's looking great!
Thanks

Sam, the carbon spoiler was genuine but was sun scorched so I had it painted , but overall I think the new look will be better with the V6 high level spoiler in white , seems to brighten the car up .
