I conceded that I wasn't prepared to cast an opinion on Tony's refusal to answer a question that he percieved to be akin to a witchhunt. You suggested that was sidestepping, and I accepted that indeed I wanted no part of it. When in this thread his position on that became untenable I acknowledged it.
Anyway, I'm anti-Semantic, so if you don't mind.
Ok, so do you now see the basis of my accusations of inconsistency and double standard?
Ah, excellent - so you admit the Palestinians are oppressed.
We're making progress.
Do you think oppression is morally defensible?
What do you mean by oppression? I'm oppressed because I cannot afford that nice new Porsche in the dealership and someone else lives in that mansion down the road which I would like to live in.
Marxists say that the working class is oppressed by Capitalists and can prove it on paper.
I know the Palestinians in refugee camps in other Arab states are oppressed because they are not allowed out to resettle, or given citizenship etc.

You seem to leap on any piece of press that shows Muslims or Pakistanis in a bad light, the question is why is that?
Sorry James, but to my mind you appear to be inconsistent and are applying a double standard when it comes to your friend, Tony.
Why is that?
Well, to answer the question I'd have to agree with the premise, which I don't.
For what it's worth I think Tony should answer Banny's question above, I'd be happy to answer it if were addressed to me.
What are your views on the Palestinian suicide-murderers and the practice of human shielding?

Let's agree to disagree then, I have made my point, people can judge for themselves.

If you ask me that again I will have to claim Witch craft is going on! Oops I mean a Witch hunt is going on.
Seriously however, do you really expect me to answer that question? What do you think my answer will be? I reckon you already know the answer.
Oh, just the usual meaning. The arbitrary, cruel and unjust exercise of power, not the happenstance of being unable to afford a certain desired bauble.

The arbitrary, cruel and unjust exercise of power.
The Palestinians don't have power. They are the ruled, not the rulers. Oppression is the arbitrary, cruel and unjust exercise of power by the governing faction, as you well know, I hope.
Why is my 'opinion' not point worthy? Careful now James in how you answer, you are about to reduce any 'point' that you have ever made, to mere 'opinion' status. Are you prepared for that?
