Good point, google translate as far as I know requires an internet connection. So abroad it's not much good unless you have a data package to suit.

The Apple v Android and everything else threads are getting tedious.
I do like my current Android phone though and am due an upgrade so will be getting the Desire HD next.

Edit: Upgrade done, phone comes Tuesday. My monthly bill is lower, I get more free minutes and more data than before? Phone cost me £19.99.

To remove the bloatware installed on the phones by the operators. Not a shortcoming of android.
