Low cost track day 21st April
I've put your name down already...assumed you'd be coming.
I thought I had emailed you about it?
Or did Steve send it?
Me thinks your McRae is a quick mota'...I'm getting used to seeing it from behind
See you on Sunday

Hi
Sorry for the delay in posting , I’ve had problems with my internet connection. Been trying to get online from 3pm today
think its fixed now
Richard, sorry mate, I tried to email you but couldn't 'cos of the problem above.
1st directions…
I will suggest a couple that I think are easy to follow, but if you head for Gainsborough you wont be far away.
FROM THE M1,
Leave the M1 at jcn32 and join the M18 going North for about 3miles, taking the 1st exit (jcn1)
On leaving the M18 turn right onto the A631 towards Bawtry. Stay on the A631 all the way to Bawtry(about 10-15miles)
On entering Bawtry you will have to turn right at a T junction then left at the lights, following the signs for the A631 to Gainsborough.
When you arrive at Gainsborough go accross the bridge over the river Trent and through both sets of traffic lights(but not if on red!) and leave Gainsborough on the A631 towards Market Raisen.
On leaving Gainsborough you will be travelling up a big hill thats dual carriageway.
After 2-3miles the A631 goes back to a single carriageway. About 1/2 mile(ish) further on is a LEFT turn.
From this point you should see some home made "scooby" signs.
Turn left (sign says Blyton and Pilham) and follow this road to the very end.
At the end turn right onto the B1205 for about a mile.
On your left you should see the entrance to the track.
FROM THE A1,
Leave the A1 at the Blyth roundabout and take the A614 towards Bawtry, then take the A631 towards Gainsborough. Then follow instructions as above.
OTHER ROUTES,
I think those of you from the Linc’s area know how to get to Gainsborough so you should be ok.
You can get there anytime after 10am. You can come earlier, but if you do you must know how to work a sweeping brush
I would recommend bringing some sandwiches / packed lunch, althought the pub in Blyton is supposed to be ok (I've never been in)
If your coming up the M1, the services at Woodall have Optimax.
I will also have available a small quantity of Optimax should anyone need it (~160litres)
And if its raining on the day, bring a ‘brolly!
If anyone still wants to come, there are places available due to a couple of cancelation’s…
Just turn up on the day and I’ll sort you out.
The track gates get locked at 7.30pm so there's plenty of track time avaiable.
If you get lost or have any questions you either post on Scoobynet or ring me.

The lad who should have been re-mapping my chip was off at John Nobles yesterday so after a wasted journey my car is still a bag of **** below 4000 rpm, if anyone wants my place they can have it.
I will come and have a look

Bob,
Can't get there tomorrow, might try to spectate for an hour.
Been asked to work, you can't turn down an opportunity with double time when your as skint as me.

Muddy.

PS. Tried the cheese wire seems to be doing the trick, but very slowly
Managed to cut all my fingers with the stuff, and it's not even sharp.
Don't think I have managed to save scratching the boot though, so it may need a respray after all. Won't really tell until the spoiler is off.

Hi Craig
Was thinking about you today
Been looking for that wax (canuba ?) but can't find it anywhere.
Where did you get it from?
If you call in to Blyton tomorrow could you bring the tin so I can see what it is I'm looking for...
Cheers
BOB
And don't work too hard....I never do!

Thanks all for coming...I think everyone who turned up enjoyed it, I know I did, especially the ride in the Westie(thanks Scott)
My only dissapointment was that I took my digi camera with 4x 64mb memory cards and didn't take any photo's...what an idiot
If I get sufficient people seriously interested in another day I will arrange it. Possible next available dates being June 2nd and 23rd.
Will post a thread in Track forum in a few days to judge response.
Off to bed now, got to take friends to Manchester Airport at 5am...
Serves me right for offering my services before I knew the time of their flight...doh!

I have booked a small track for the whole day on the 21st April.
It is a 1.25 mile tarmac course located just out side the village of Blyton near Gainsborough, North Lincs.
It's the same one that the rally school "Rally Drive" use but Ive got it much cheaper
Click hear for the Rally Drive website:
Rally-Drive

The final cost per car depends on the numbers, but even though I'm trying to keep it small(about a dozen cars?) I can guarantee you won't pay more than £25 but probably A LOT LESS! ##SEE EDIT AT BOTTOM FOR LATEST PRICE!##
If anyone wants to reserve a place I will need a £10 deposit as soon as possible..email me for payment details.
This is a "No Frills Track" don't expect the sort of facilities of Donnington Park etc... its a basic track, the layout/course can be altered to suit our requirements and it will be under our control.
A few of us have been before to try it out and its well worth it for the
you will have on your face
Its ideal if this is your first time on a track and want to try your car out.
Places are limited so be quick...those of you from the Big One last Sunday who were interested will need to email me.

Hi mate
nice car you got, don't blame you for not taking it on the track.
Any help would be appreciated, and good idea about the helmets, only thing is how many people own one?
Will probably see you this Sunday at the Donny show, you should be easy to find, I'll just look out for the shiniest red scoob!
