Yes it was about 1 tooth out!!! If the misfire starts and I change the cam sensor the misfire goes away but after a while comes back seems like its when the sensor heats up it doesnt send the right signal. The weird thing is I have 2 sensors here and they both do the same thing!

Did it make any difference each time you changed it?

Maybe check the engine wiring for the cam sensor? May be a break somewhere or its shorting out.

Hey Musso On my ECU I have a common sield wire for the Cam sensor and crank sensor in other words I have 1 shield wire going in to the ECU and not 2! The cam and crank sensor wires are in one loom with one shield around them! My question: is this normal or should it have 2 individual looms each with its own shield? I am wondering if the 2 signal wires cant interfere with each other as they are in one loom!!!!!!! Really doesnt make sense why it will run fine for a while and then start with the misfire...... Is there a way to test the cam sensor???????

set the timing to spot on literally dead in line but it seems to of made the problem worse surely it should of made it better ive checked it several times to make sure ive done it right and the marks are spot on.
