check out my mint picture.... The red one is where the sensor was on the old decat pipe.
The new one has the tiny sensor where the blue one is. I have looked all over the exhaust system and there is no where for the lambda to go.
Right from having issues myself.
Standard Lambda on a 1996 goes into before the Up-pipe.
I have my lambda in the downpipe, and am having issues, so is going back into manifold.
ive totally forgotten what the original problem/questions were ?
From those pics you have just uploaded/shown,you have an original manifold and an original downpipe which looks to be the correct one for an my96 car,the lamdba should be in the drivers side near the up-pipe
My original Downpipe/cat,pic also shows the small sensor (cat on fire)from my95 wrx
Now a pic of my sports Cat, note the bung where the lamdba goes on the later classics, bunged up LOL
HTH
Just a question, is your lambda in the manifold??
As I have had mixed responses as to the location of the lambda on early cars. Some say leave in the manifold, others say move to that bung (on decats).
Mine is in the downpipe, but thinking of moving it back to the manifold.
