I was just comparing the torque curve compared to mine. If you look at the graph I posted on my thread "api power run" everything comes alive so much earlier. I have a similar setup as yours with a turbo offering roughly the same power on standard fuel. If the 20% meths/E85 mix makes the car much livelier in response then ill have the meths

Your choose of turbo is what you want and going further in power, you now have the capacity. I wasn't knocking your results I was commenting on the delay in pickup. I don't want any more power or could handle anymore, my car breaks traction on all wheels in 3rd on a damp surface!

All the best with it

andy97

dont worry about knocking me or my car or anything,

im genuinley interested in what torque, bhp curves look like and mean

however, like ive stated a few times already mate, unfortunatley the curves i have on printout are different from the ones ive posted as i rotated them on photobucket and its skewed the graphs - so please dont use the graphs as a a true representative of how the car behaves, id probably be better removign them , as theyre causing confusion.

post your curve here if you wish, or give me a link

wjats your spec, power/torque

its seems very strange to hear you say it comes alive so much quicker - as mine really feels instantaious, ill get mine dynoed again throughout the year, and next time ask for my results to be emailed to me, to see if there more accurate.

or like i origionally planned, buy a scanner lol

The 1 bar by 3000 rpm on the road paints a totally different picture than the graph curves.
Is this a new make of RR in the UK?

butty,

from what i can remeber him telling me its one of a kind in the uk, or one of only a few.

popular in oz apparantly as they prefer at the wheel figures (thats just what im told)

but hey the garage bought one so they are unlikley to slag it off lol

from dynos ive seen before, it seemed pretty good - not that i know a lot, but he did show me thruogh some functions avalable eg, for transmission temp measuring on skylines ect

be interesting to see how my next run goes in comparision

You are wasting your time trying to benchmark turbo spool on different makes of rolling road and indeed you could be wasting your time comparing spool on rolling roads of the same make at different locations.
Best way to check spool is in 4th gear on a level road with someone else in the car with you. WOT at 1700 rpm and clock 1 bar assuming you have an accurate boost guage (not Defi as they over read) Do this four or five times running in both directions until the spool point stabilises as the exhaust and turbo pick up temperature.
That is a good measure of turbo spool.
