So after getting the car home and giving it a good clean
I found 12 dents or marks in the bodywork to which my wife was horrified
With the help of Dal at ABW these were soon rectified
Now was the time to sign up for some track days
After getting used to the car and a couple of track days I was pretty much
pleased with my purchase, the only issues I had were its general consumption of oil
and the water temp getting very hot during cool down laps
The oil issue became the constant source of amusement to many but the overheating
and expelling of coolant was becoming a pain
this all brings us to today and why we are rebuilding the car for the 2011 season
and how she looks today

You two got any fought estimate of what power you should end up with? Just got to get back in the fold and will need to get something tastey to keep up with you and Tx lol

Looking forward to watching the progress on this one.
I was in a similar position about 18 months ago. I bought my Hawkeye which was supposed to be running about 500/500 but unfortunately wasn't and like youself I ended up having to rebuild due to serious oil consumption issues. Still haven't quite reached the magic 500 of each but now thanks to some nice Cosworth internals, a great engine builder and a proper map by Zen all is well !

The next step, spoke to a few engine builders and tuners
and decided to trust the services of a local new guy.
FB Tuning in maidenhead.
The plan is to strip the car and try to find the oil and water problems.
After this has been found and resolved, we aim to replace the tired or worn out
components and rebuild the car to the same spec but reliable.
The work has been started already with a new set of Tein super racing coilovers.
The engine is now out of the car and being stripped by Richard(FB).

Early indications show that the head studs were not tight thus leading to
one of the cylinder liners rotating and killing the block.
So I had to get myself one of these
