Remembrance Thread
I attended our local parade. Its only a smallish town but it was real jerking to see how many came along to remember the dead of two World Wars.
There were quite a few old soldiers too, some walking proudly and three old boys with their berrets and medals proudly displayed joining in on their mobility buggies.
I must say I shed a tear or two.
Lets all hope that the Country never forgets their sacrifice.

Our parade went well through our small town RAF and army cadets and some of the old soldiers too
Police sealed off the traffic and the local pub provided free tea / coffee for everyone who was there 1hour before
Aprox 3-400 people were watching and 150 in the church for the service then back through the town to be dismissed by the commander
Our group of Councillors didn't walk as well s the military though but a excellent service of remembrance for those involved in it

Without trying to hijack anything I am disappointed that considering there were more indian soldiers than the English, Scots and Welsh put together you don't see as much exposure of this

I wore my poppy with pride and just wish we could do more to honour the fallen, rather than just give them a day a year!
Parnaam shaheedan nu!
(respect to those that have sacrificed (Punjabi))
