Update:

Yet another shortage in the original delivery (before Christmas!) has now been identified as the reason I ended up with a surplus bag of bolts after my drunken new years day counting session. I unpacked every single bolt from all the kits (those who have had theirs will sympathise...) in a bid to get to the bottom of it - turns out they'd sent some lengths which should have been M6 in M8 and vice versa (my inebriated state did not, unfortunately, pick up on this until it was too late). They had also omitted one size entirely but sent 2 lots of another very similar size.

I've been speaking to the supplier almost daily to get this sorted whilst trying to remain calm. Bearing in mind only 1 of the 6 orders I've placed has ever been 100% correct first time, this was the smarmy email I got out of the blue this afternoon:

"Hi James, hope you're well? I spoke to Kate and she double checked the items and also the weight / check weight confirm items posted was correct, was the packaging damaged, as most orders you recieve now appear to be wrong? I'll get her to call you back or email you, regards Lee."

Basically implying I'm lying then...

I won't bother posting my reply to this as it would essentially be **** *** ***** ** **** **** *** ** for about 2 pages. Having spent over £1500 on more than 6000 bolts they are getting clever about 40!

I have not long since had this back from them, and it's a good job I don't live closer to them....:

"James, Kate is 100% right the qtys was correct, ill refund you for the M8 x 12 to save the arguments, Kate said all order we supply you are always wrong, she kindly asked you purchase the goods elsewhere as we post so many goods all your orders cannot be wrong please let me know your paypal address and ill send over the funds. yours Lee"

WTF????? In all fairness I should've gone elsewhere after the first two orders were wrong, so I am partly to blame for this I suppose. Good to know the customer is always right though - why not just say "we can't be ar5ed to count out random quantities of bolts anymore"? If all orders are always wrong DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT YOU THICK C***! Again, my inaction has fuelled this fire somewhat, by allowing this to continue.

To end this essay I have some good news though. I have received written quotes from 2 alternate suppliers which are within £15 of each other. I will place the order for the M8 x 16's (not M8 x 12's as the muppet still quoted above) tonight from the one who replied first to make up the quantities required to finish off the Group 4 kits (quoted 2 days delivery time). Dare I say 'all being well', but if received on Friday I will work through the night and have the kits ready to post out on Saturday morning.

Please accept my utmost apologies for the continued delay with the Group 4 kits - if you have any questions or concerns please post on here or pm me. Hopefully a good thing has come out of this though, I have hopefully now found a supplier who is capable of bloody counting!!

Regards,

James

I have received the refund for the shortages (why not just send the bolts out? = guilty as charged), and have also placed the order with the new supplier for the bolts required to complete the Group 4 kits.

Having also enquired about the quantities required for the newage kits, they have confirmed that all sizes/quanties are in stock ready for orders. I might add that the new supplier I have gone to is a large organisation who specialise in fasteners, hopefully a sign of better things to come

Regards,

James

In addition, I have come in from work tonight to find 2 red tickets from the post office. The only thing I was expecting was the Depo oil temp & oil pressure adapter kit - I can only presume that the other ticket is for the additional bolts to complete Group 4.

Considering I only ordered them at about 3:30pm yesterday that would be very impressive service! I'll hold my tongue until I've redeemed the tickets tomorrow, but will update the thread to keep you all informed as to what's going on.

James
