Not one here all night, unless I just didn't hear any knocks on the door.

Did get some sweets with the intention of giving them out to any trick or treaters, usually at least the kids from next door drop in for a few.....

However we went out to the pub at half five for dinner, then upon returning from a blow out carvery at around 7pm decided we could be arsed so turned off all the lights downstairs and retreated to our bedroom to rub our bellies and watch TV.

Not a single caller. Seemed like next door had gone out for the evening and maybe the skip, rubble, other builders cr*p all over our front drive from the extension work + our cars were out in the road so the builders could park their van on the drive in the morning put them off. Result - we've got a load of sweets to eat

That must be the definitive answer.

Well, I think this child protection paranoia has caused this quiet on Halloween. Some of the sweet begging kids said that to me last year. All traditions will die down soon, even when this American one is not even such an antique one.

<waits for some brain-eater to do one over me on my knowledge of Halloween>

Friend at work brought in some pictures from last night, he took my advice and answered his door in a 'Michael Myers' mask with a fake meat cleaver !

I really must stop suggesting things to the easily impressionable !
