Does anyone know this car?

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...ht_1313wt_1141

The garage are insisting it is not a Prodrive model but I am not so sure after checking insurance etc....... It also needs the cambelt and a service. Seems a bit rich for my liking with that needing done.

No that definately looks like a Prodrive version, that doesnt mean it has the PPP, it just has the body kit (though I would check as the exhaust isnt standard).

Those were my thoughts Tony. The trouble is, like most 2nd hand garages they probably don't know their a**e from their elbow and it's too far to view if it's not promising via email etc.

It's interesting to know that the cars listed as Prodrive with the bodykit may not actually have the PPP. You learn something everyday! How do you check?

That's a UK WRX STi Prodrive Style......styling mods done at the Prodrive factory fitted to a standard UK STi of the period. The only things I can see extra are a sunstrip, the rear windows look a little dark and there are stickers on the wing mirrors.

It may or may not have had a dealer fitted Prodrive Performance Pack (PPP).......Prodrive and the Dealer network keep a database of which cars have been dealer fitted with the PPP matched against the VIN.

Looks like a clean car to me, I'd phone for the VIN and name of the dealer who looked after it and phone around

If all else fails phone Prodrive as they also keep the data but will direct you to the Dealer first.

Be aware that the Prodrive style was a limited edition (especially the black) and have the same performance as the same UK car but do cost more..

Cheers

Shaun
