Good link but the Bill of Rights does not constitute a constitution as the construct of English law is that the current law passed by Parliament enshrines common law.
So there may have been historic rights but I would question that they were constitutional in the same manner they would be in the US.

Legalise:
24 hour drinking - now the second world wars over it seems to make sense.
Gambling - lets have some fun while we're drinking.
Make anyone that earns over £44K (that's me) pay for private medical insurance and rebate me half of the NI cost.
Increase the speed on motorways to 100 MPH.
Brothels - why not? works well in Holland.
DCI - vote for me

1. Anyone appearing on the Jeremy Kyle Show should be put down by a vet. They are animals after all.
Including Jeremy Kyle.
2. Baby licence. If you don't have one, you can't breed legally. If you breed without a licence, the kid is euthanised and you have your reproductive system removed.
3. Crime - anyone with a criminal record is subjected to points 1 and 2, preferably in reverse order. Without anaesthetic.
4. Police wages and promotions - wages should be capped no matter of rank. Less chiefs more indians.
5. Ban child benefit after two children, even if by different fathers etc.

Hard to say since I don't know how much we get back in respect of what we have to pay in membership fees. Those have gone up a long way since our rebate was given back to them by NL.
I object on principle as much as anything. I am seriously unimpressed by the fact that they can't get their accounts passed by the auditors for 14 years now. Where does all that lost cash go I wonder?
I am loyal to this country and want our own government to pass our own laws etc. We can at least vote them out if we disagree. No chance if we become federated to them. It would be the death knell of democracy in this country.
I am disgusted at the con job by Heath in the first place, he knew very well that federation was the ultimate aim but hid that from us of course. Also the fact that both sides have broken their promises on a referendum over the latest treaty which is barely removed from effective federation.
Regardless of "upsides" or "downsides", I consider that we would remain much better off to leave and to negotiate a trading agreement as Norway has done. I would not like to see this country lost in a mishmash of so called united states run very badly by what I believe would be a repressive goverment.

The link demonstrates that some would like to be able to censor the Net in order to prevent the publication of child pronography. i agree that such items should be banned, but the overall ability to censor the Net would be a worrying start.
