Absolutely gorgeous! owned many MKI's and MkII's in my time, nothing at all like that I must say mine had 1.3 and 1.6 cross flows lol..

Quite an investment there and if I could raise the funds I would have one tomorrow,

perfect mate

Mines around 400hp (but will be considerably more by the springtime). Unfortunately Pig ignored your post as he lives in a world of bitter resentment as he knows my escort is much better than his lol

Keevil was a great day and hopefully we'll be back there in the spring as were trying to organise a private day down there.
Here's a few pics of the superior Mk2 Escort lol

Nice forum you have here by the way, lovely motors

Is the orange one the one that used to have a Reyland sunstrip or is that another one? Both cars are stunning and I'd love a mark 1 or 2 escort with Cosworth power but they are getting very very expensive now and it puts them out of reach

I bought a lovely white 2 door mark 1 with a 1600 crossflow back in 97/98 with a mate for less than £150 IIRC It was a non runner so we got it running 2 days later & finished it off with an MOT and a set of alloys and sold it £500 and made a profit

If only I'd kept it but because I was driving a Manta GTE back then and I wanted to keep that instead

About a year later I was looking to buy a sierra 2.9 4x4 and I spotted a mark 2 Lotus Cortina for the same money, I bought the Sierra...... When I was young I made so many mistakes where cars were concerned

Both stunning, I cannot comprehend what they must feel like, fastest I have been in is a 997 Turbo, would these feel significantly quicker ?
