LV.
34, RB5 non-WR, full protected NCB, IT Consultant, good postcode, on drive, unlimited business miles. no additional security, SS backbox & ITG £730(ish). Went up by £128 when I moved 3 weeks later; not so impressed with that as wife's didn't go up at all.

Not quite so silly oldish git here.

40ish, with all the noclaims in a rural postcode for a MY97T UK with nothing obviously modded but for some 16" alloys.

Priviledge wanted £753, with no claims protection and legal cover, this after 2 years with them

Liverpool-Victoria quoted £535 (with lower excesses and free track time).

Liverpool-Victoria! My car is a MY00T (uk Spec),Age 34, Hgv Driver, A decent area post code, 0-no claims, standard car, i have made a claim within the last 5 yrs which goes against you £998 fully comp! I rang them too about changing the exhaust and putting an induction kit and they said they will amend my policy to include that and no extra cost to me! Very friendly too!

LV do anything, and they don't even ask about security so no need for Tracker (tho a good Thatcham has to be a good idea!)

Mornin,

Do any of you have insurance which covers you for trackday use, without costing an arm and a leg ? If so, what's the broker and underwriter?

I suspect most or all of 'em have clamped down on this but, hey, s'worth asking the question anyway.

Cheers
Andy

Just got a quote for a modded Forester import. Most quotes around £800 mark. LV are quoting £536 !! Seems to be the company to go with at the moment.
Is there a catch anyone has come across?

This seems like a good quote to me. What do you think?

Last year: Bell Direct £1400
This year: Bell Direct £1850
Car: STi3
Me 28, Wife 29. Full no claims protected.
Claimed on last policy for writing off Scoob and Corsa in a smash
SP30 - 3pts, SP50 - 5 pts.

Thought I was going to get absolutley creamed, so £1850 not bad,
Anyone else with a few claims / points insuring there scoob for any less??

Barclays direct,
Last year 1009, this year 836, had full no claims before so just lucky I guess
Car STI 3, 20% power increase noted, they did not want mods listed, full UK + 45 day European cover & recovery, No tracker, just cat 1 alarm, track day cover, 45 years young, max ncb, one endorsement, full business cover , no mileage per year restriction, Wife also on policy, clean licence but 1 prang 2 years ago.
Dont know if I could have got it cheaper but I have found their service 100%, broke down in Italy last week, they were really helpful, rental cars provided & car will be recovered in the next couple of weeks

Liverpool Victoria quoted over £1k excess £250 didnt care about security.
RBOS direct £1200 inc p/NCD Excess £250 and free breakdown/recovery/home start.
Tescos £1038 inc p/NCD excess £250

Greenlight £779 !!! inc p/NCD excess is a bit steep at £350, best quote though. New policy. 28m / 7ncd /non standard exhaust/ SP30, requires Tracker though. No problem was getting one anyway. Happy to cover mods, example given, if i had £2k worth of wheels extra £120 on premium, if stolen would replace to exact match. Good !! ??
I'm happy. :-)
