Moved to injector under the expansion tank thing, and low and behold thats one problem. Gonna take the tank off tomorrow and swap the injector to a different one, may even change the other as I`m there.
When I fiddled with it it ran for 10 mins like normal and went like she did before.

Also went and got my spare TD05 from the garage and checks actuator rods side by side, and the arm on the one fitted moved easily (too easily), so I think the diaphragm has gone so I`m losing boost through the wastegate.

So will change the actuator tomorrow making sure shes adjusted properly, and then put the boost controller back on, then change the injectors. As I think my issues are a combination of those two. Once I`ve done that and there is something else then I`m well and truly stumped (for now lol).
Any progress is good mate!

PROBLEM SORTED (more or less).

The actuator was fudged, and the injector under the header tank was stuffed.
So replaced both and goes like stink again.

But think I`ve adjusted the actuator too much as, as now she boost a little over and when at 5500+ and booting it she occasionally cuts. So will wind the actuator back a tiny bit and take it from there.

BUT how can the CAT on FIRE lamp come on when there is nothing plugged into it??

Well done that man

Have you unplugged the EGT sensor cable at the loom?

Also did a ECU check and the Engine Check light flashes stead every second.
So unless I`ve wiped my ECU that means no codes??

Mine not on, well what happens is that I`ve not adjusted the actuator properly, with it being a tad tight.

But revs up nicely now way past 5000, and sometimes gets to 5500/5600rpm and revs cut to zero, at the same time the Cat light flashes for a split second.
Apart from that nothing.

Have also heard that you need to put a 1 farad resistor into the now open connection, to "fool" the ecu into thinking that the COF is still plugged in???

Ah, got ya. So it just flashes on when you hit fuel cut. Strange, so if you don't hit fuel cut the will not come on? I think the resistor is for later cars. But hay, i'm sure you'll sort it

Yeah flashes on fuel cut, its strange lol.

Tbh I`d love to rip out the loom and put a standalone in there then I can know 100% that the wiring and ECU are ok.

Glad you got to the bottom of the running issues. Sounds like it was a pita to diagnose.

Yeah, was a tad annoying. Still have to adjust the actuator arm as having slight boost spike, have turned the actuator down one half turn, looks like I need another.

Also would appreciate if someone could have a listen to see if there are any strange noises etc, as I`m paranoid about knocks lol.
