Lol it's a WRX not an STi, it's a MY94/95 not a 1996 , it's a bargain who cares

Engine/transmission codes aren't correct for V2 STi either

Its a 1996 car registered in 1995. It was released in Japan August 1995 and bought and registered in October of that year The STi wagon and the Sti saloon do not share everything.

No it's a MY95, nothing 1996 about it mate . I have an STi wagon and I know them intimately yours is not an STi. You have a WRX engine code, WRX body shell, WRX transmission code....nothing wrong with that but it AIN'T an STi

You are correct the STi wagon's do not get some of the alloy bits that the saloons get but yours is still a WRX

Sure dude, Fud is happy but thats not the point. When i got the car i too bought it as a WRX but after all the checks it came back as a STi. There was two sites where you check your codes and both came back the same info.

Let me just get atlease one of those sites.

Think the confusion comes with the sti wagon and wrx wagon sharing the same chassis code iirc. I had a v2 sti yours would be the 1st sti turned into a wrx replica I've seen lol

Sti wing badges, sti intercooler (silver) sti seats (hard to replicate in wagon as they are smooth grey centres and obviously not interchangeable from saloon) sti fog covers, sti sticker in centre of boot lid, all grey front grill (no colour on bottom edge) with pink badge, td05-16g turbo, badge over aux belt cover, sti nardi steering wheel with carbon look round centre and sti logo, sti red stitched gear **** etc

Anyway, it's still a bargain but I just hope you weren't paying a premium to insure it over a wrx.

its got a wrx intercooler on it, the early sti's had alloy non painted intercoolers, they also had silver headers not red, but id say this is a wrx, but as said many times its a bargain.

It has Nardi steering wheel, gear ****, TD05 16G and a Z4 ecu. Easy to say they were all replaced but the car was still original from Japan.

Just waiting for the guy from SIDC to reply back to me.

And here Fud, just keep looking down the list for WRX STI V2, not the first one on the list as thats a 4 door Fud.

As already mentioned, The 94-95 WRX wagon and 95-96 STI wagon share the same model code...why??...who knows..

If it has a TD05 and a Z4 then no doubt they have been changed sometime in its life.

Oh ****!!

Thats not cool. Now i really feel like a plonker. So she is a 1995 car registered in 1996? Not a 1996 car sold the end of 1995? Sorry Fud, with all the Nardi interior, Td05, Z4, gearbox and engine code been the same plus the fact she got 251bhp on the dyno with standard exhaust i was sure she was STi and not WRX.

Sorry to all above too.
