I only just found this thread, well entertaining. I wonder if the guy got what he wanted?

My average is 17.6 mpg its normal driving around town and to work.

 

if i do Leeds chesterfield its around 127 miles i get there and back in just under half a tank, the return i get from my compnay covers it JUST. If i floor it on the way i find the journey costs ME 3 quid LOL.

But in prespective if i took the wifes diesal, the return from the company is 12p a mile i get the same differance back so no real gain apart from not having to fill up.

I average on the motorway about 28 to 31 driving at 72mph, if i hit 80 85 it drops to 26 27 ish

I managed 80 miles for £20 today, it doesn't seem to matter what speed i do.
