Tea/Coffee Drinkers
#31
I used to drink tea all the time but the acidic character did not agree with me so I have drunk coffee only for a long time now. Very occasionally will have a cup of tea and still enjoy it.

Pontificating
I was thinking of getting a Delonghi Magnifica and start making my own coffee's as I find the UK coffee shops to be bloody awful in all honesty.
Good idea or a waste of money ??

How dependant are you on your tea/coffee?
Yesterday on the way home from work, I daftly picked up decaffeinated tea by mistake and only realised when I got home. It tasted quite different like it was missing something (like it didn't have any bite) but I didn't realise the full impact until today. I could not function at all! Totally head wrecked for the whole day, couldn't focus on a thing!
Needless to say, the decaf tea is now in the bin, after a few cups of proper stuff i'm now back to normal.

When I used to work 6-2 2-10 shifts at my old job I used to really struggle sleeping on a 6-2. I'd be up clock watching and struggle to get into a deep sleep. So I was always knackered in the mornings. I'd hit "the wall" at around 9.00-9.30am which would induce a 5 second sleep whilst stood up
I got a bit addicted to Pro-Plus on 6-2 and became quite reliant on them. They really gave me bad gut rot so I tried to swap to a few cups of coffee. I'd put 4 spoon fulls of coffee and 3 sugars in one cup regurlarly - tasted like tar and was quite thick to drink but it fookin' worked.......... till the come down.
I went onto nights shortly after
Now I have a coupe normal cups a day, 99% at work. Very rarely drink anything apart from water or cordial juice as nothing quenches my thirst as well.

I've always struggled to get a good nights sleep, so I only drink decaf. I do miss really good coffee. But once you cut caffeine out if you have any it really affects you......

I am not as bad as I was in the uk office of my last company, at least six mugs of coffee a day.
I dropped to none during that day when I moved here as no machine in the office bwhen working from home is would have a couple a day.
Since starting the new job I am drinking more as we have free coffee and tea provided via a keurig machine. For extreme moments we dive into the new redbull only fridg in the kitchen ( no I am not kidding!)
if I have a few bad days and drink a lot an then don't have coffee I do get the odd headache, which is probably some form of withdrawal
