I am not quite sure if it is my place to to inform everyone but it seems Grant suffered a brain aneurism and passed away in hospital. It was of course very sudden and this makes his passing even the more tragic as he leaves a loving wife and young family behind.
The news still has not sunk it yet.
Perhaps it shouldnt, but the young family aspect saddens me particularly. My mother died when I was a little boy, and the plight of children who find themselves in a similar position always upsets me.
RIP Tam .... the older I get the more I find there isn't that many things that upset me any more, you almost become desensitised to the world, this news however has.
Grant didn't care about being popular, he was happy to stand by his friends no matter how unpopular they were.... Grant aka Tam the bam "Legend" and this place seems a little less fun knowing he'll not be posting here again.
Well said DCI and i could not agree more with your sentiments.
Gutted to read this! Tam was one of the best long term members on here imho, his botw threads were legendary! I think we should start having them again in his memory, he would have liked that I think.
Good GOD!!! It was only in the last couple of weeks I was chatting to some mutual friends about meeting up with him in Scotland shortly. I had NO idea that he was even ill. I thought his ill health issues had been all put in the past.
This really is so sad. He had/has a wonderful family. I've very much enjoyed the time that I spent with him and his family. I really will miss him RIP
