Aye mine will be coming in on a trailer being towed by a shogun, so would need to know if there is enough parking space... may also bring a gazebo

Hey,

If you get stuck give me a shout, I dont mine making a slight detour. I normally run by Harrogate, but can easily run down the Bingley route if your at a loose end.

hi, they should be 2 other cars coming with me on the day.

one of them will have my spare wheels for driving back on and the trolley jack and tools etc. just in case i need them.

the other can go in the car park, not bothered about that one, but ideally would like wheels and tools near me.

Well not only have Scoobyclinic aranged for 10 of their sponsored cars to support this event they have now gone one step further ! Kev has come to an arrangement with Straightliners and Scoobyclinic will now sponsor the whole event. I am really pleased as this sort of support is just what we need to makes these events stand out and live in to the future.

So we now have officially 'The Scoobyclinic Scoobyshootout'

What does the £70 get you involved in? from the bits ive found searching google... handling course / Drag Race / 0-60?

Is the above correct? How many attempts do you get at each or is it a one off thing? (once you've finished you have set your posision)

What defines each of the classes? (Standard - Pro) I know slicks will put me in pro, but there isnt any info about it on the site above

My car will be coming on a trailer, is there spaces to park this / is there going to be a pits type area as i may bring a Gazebo too if the weather is looking a bit dodgy?

What will the handling course look like?

I take it your given a number and are called up or do you just line up to participate in each of the events?

Breafing? Crash Helmets? Long Sleeve Shirts/Trousers?

Sorry for all the questions, as im new to this kinda thing... I usually do track days

Ok ill try to answer your questiond one by one

Your entry fee gets you all three disciplines Drag Strip/ Hadling course/ and Top Speed

You can have as meany goes as you like on any of the tracks just join the cue and go,,,, top speed is in the left hand lane of the drag strip so you can do both on one run we will explain this at the drivers briefing witch will take place on the drag strip start line at 10.15

You will score points in any discipline you take part in this will allow us to find the overall scooby champion

The handling course is a coned course so it is no threat to you or your car you will be able to walk the course before we start racing

This is fun event and we should not tie people down to absolute classes or rules. So handling classes will follow a similar theme to the Grudgement series -

Standard class - standard (ish) cars using road normal road tyres and no more than basic mods (remap, handling mods)

Modified - larger turbos, stripped interiors and road legal track rubber all allowed

Pro - Anything goes, slicks allowed

Drag - Anything goes, drag tyres etc, fully stripped cars

Cars on trailers are no problem we have lots of room at Elvington if you have never been you will be amazed

I hope that puts your mind at rest just come and enjoy your day with us we are the friendly side of motorsport ,,,,,Trevor (Straightliners)
