Our midfield was stunning. the way Cesc and Jack linked up was at times breath taking.

Havent been that happy for a while with the quality we showed.

Life without Cesc is daunting

^^ Isn't that cos the opposition were pants though? They struggle to replicate it against hardcore teams IMHO

TX.

They are not pants though. 4th in Portugal, finished 2nd last year. knocked Celtic and Sevilla out of qualifiers.

Just dont think they had seen footy that fast before

FFS

Games like that, is what we need to hold onto. we were outplayed but needed to hold that goal.

I thought defence was ok tbh. both CB gave a good example and they never really looked to break us with high punt ***** which has always been our weakness. Clichy (think it was him) clearance got deflected and it was laid on for Bent.

I saw it coming though same as always some how.

im not disapointed but we lacked cutting edge in final 3rd for some reason, especially after wed.

Showed how much we need Cesc in midfield aswell

Fair point considering we have been knocked out by Liverpool and mancs after doing well before

but we are improving. we have beaten blackburn and bolton and took a draw away from sunderland. Better than last season already

I couldnt see this thread so was going to start a new one later

Pretty happy with the start tbh.

Fabianski has proved himself imo and should remain in the sticks. The young Polish lad looks a great prospect to.

Song has been awesome but im hoping he stays back a little more.

Get rid of Denilson......nuff said lol

Interesting to see what happens when RVP is fit as Chamack has been great as a holding striker.

I hate to say it but Bendtner has been a good impact sub but it wont be long before he is moaning thats he's the best and should start etc.

Great seeing Rosicky back, one of our only Midfielders happy to shoot on site and dive in when needed.

Not happy at how easy some of our players are going down either. Chamack and Eboue.

Personally think we were unlucky against Chelsea, played well and created. Drogba effect again

Good to hear from you Paul

Nope. Some armchair fan you are. ITV only have ever had one CL game and Sky the rest. It's the Liverpool cup that is on all the ****e channels.
