According to Andy F over on 22b the EJ22T will handle about 650 lbft of torque before you need to think about relinering it to improve strength. Car on 22b using said block running a 2.35 with a billet GT35R made 701/600 on race fuel.

Could you estimate the strenghth of my build please mate?
Autosportif said 650 but i find that hard to believe with an STI 8 block...more like 500-520.
But others have told me 650 should be fine coz of the liner.

do the ruinning in slowly rather then all at once dude let it warm up expand and cool down alot and once its run maybe dont push for the hole hog just increase it gentle
