I don't know what wheels you were after, but I've got a set of of Gold six spokes (aka sti 6, ex p1) exactly the same as Grahame's, looking a bit lonely in the corner of my garage at the mo??

Dr Pepper,

I've just said yes to a set of Silver MY99 with part worn ContiSportContacts ... Got them for £90 though which is most definitely a good buy Picking them up from Didcot at the weekend whilst visiting friends

If they are not suitable for any reason, I'll get back to you.

Cheers,
Ben.

Dr Pepper,

Yes, they are MY99 5-spoke... my favourite. They're silver too as my girlfriend doesn't like gold wheels!

Dr Pepper,

How much are you after for those poor lonely wheels?

Have they got tyres on?

Yes they have tyres on, original Bridgestones Re101's I think, as from the factory. I had them refurbed before I had them fitted to my car, (there was no damage, I just didn't like that there was bare alloy on the inside, cost £180)

Basicaly there spotless, (bar a few marks on the inside were they were hung to be painted) But the tyres have only a few K left on them so I was thinking about £220 ono..

Cheers DP.

P.S. there a doddle to clean, because there so smooth !!

P.P.S first post with smilies. it's the little things in life that count.

Robot.

Click to edit my post (don't worry, you can't change anything) you will see what I typed in, and what smilie appears when the post appears on S.N.

Hope that sort of helps? cheers D.P.

Got my new wheels on my MY99 Sport this evening - what a difference! Now running MY99 Turbo 205/50 R16 with ContiSportContacts and grip and feedback are both very much increased. Only went for a quick spin but was very pleased. Oh, it looks better too I'll post some pictures tomorrow...

Ben.

Edited to say that road noise is also increased too oh well!

I thought some of the folks who were at the meet might like to see my new wheels. Nothing much visually but I'm pleasantly surprise by the increased grip and sharper handling. Dry grip is massively increased and feed back is better. Took her out in the wet at lunch time and the handling is now much more neutral with much less understeer. In fact oversteer didn't seem to far away . The car recently had the Prodrive geometry setup, which made a big difference in itself.

Before: (OE 195/60 R15 Michelin MXV3A)

After: (MY99 Turbo 205/50 R16 ContiSportContacts)

Robot: ah go-on. You-will, you will you will you will...

Cheers,
Ben.

P.S. PopeyeP1 - what do you make of this P1 eating beast? (it already ate an Evo6 (over some sleeping policemen ))

We will be stopping at The Eight Bells in Abbotsley for lunch - same place as on the Grafham Water run last year. The landlord is sending me a menu so we can order in advance - I'll post it up soon as I get it. Food was very good last year - choice of three roasts, fish and vegetarian. We also have a room to ourselves, which is nice

One more thing - start time. I suggest we meet at 11.30 at the Royal Oak in Barrington. They open at midday and coffee will be available. We should aim to leave from about 12.30 to arrive at the Eight Bells for lunch around 13.00 to 13.15.

Grahame
