Hi guys, had a question that is better suited for this thread as it as it is about a Spec C RA STI 2003.

I have come across one and I am interested in getting it. The engine code seems to match up but the seats are blue...Did spec c RA 2003 ever come with blue interior?

I am going to have a look at it next month and will get the turbo and ecu codes but would be worth to check with you guys to see whether it is genuine spec c ra or just a fake. This would save me a couple of hours drive.

There wasnt a 2003 Spec-C RA, That was a 2004 widetrack version, The 2003 versions are the 16" motorsport version with manual windows or the Spec-C Limited which has a small aic con unit, electric windows and central locking....Just like this one, although had a few bits done recently

This one has manual windows, roof scoop, water IC storage in the boot, blue interior, the center console looks different also.

Is this not a Spec C?

According to the engine code is is:

WRX STi Spec C 17″ GCBC4FH TY856WB3JA EJ207DW5EJ 280 6 speed

But my concern is that it the engine codes can be faked considering the interior is blue =(

 

spec c interior is blue only limited and ra's are black ;-)

 

Yes it sounds like it the motorsport version of the spec-c with manual windows, Does it have the 4 pot subaru front brake calipers or Brembo ones fitted?

It won't be the motor sport one if it comes up 17inch as they came with 16inch steel wheels I think.

 

Applied model shares the same code for all of the MY03 spec-c`s, Only thing to differentiate between them is the engine code on the Ltd so we know its not that, So its one of the others, The 16" & 17" have the same engine and gearbox codes, Saying that all that is different between the 16 & 17 is the brembos and wheels..........i think

 

Only just seen this Errol, Better late than never, All detailing is done by yours truely, Its possible it had been at the time but i like to keep on top of it, Although it does have some swirls that need sorting and have done since i got it, Ive just changed a few bits underneath as the original bushes were knocking on 11 years old and i had an annoying squeak, Along with some ARB`s and droplinks, ALK and Roll center kit, Also came across some `STI` lateral arms Totally transformed the handling
