What can I say, if these new pads are half as good as EBC's customer service they will be more than enough for me.
I originally told Andy the incorrect code for the pads for my KSport 8 pots which he sent out to me.
Having realised once I tried to fit them that they're completely wrong I emailed Andy apologising and asking where I should send these back and sorry for wasting his time.
This morning I took delivery of a new set of blues, the correct pattern which I will be fitting this weekend hopefully.
Top bloke, top company.
Oh and as a direct comparison I shall be trying the Performance Friction pads first.
Thanks Andy

Yes they are and Godspeed will have them available in 7 days and they cost £119 plus VAT for the number DP51200 which is right unless you have Brembo fronts

EBC Yellowstuff and EBC Standard Discs All Round
Big Thanks to Andy and EBC
I've been running the above for approximately 3 weeks now and I am totally impressed with the set up.
I wanted to fit these myself (most of us would) but I took the kit to a good mechanic to make sure the job was done properly.
I did have standard Subaru discs and OE pads fitted which did stop the car but sometimes there was that scary moment when the car was not going to stop in time and this took away my confidence when trying to enjoy the car.
Anyway old kit removed and the EBC kit went on with ease. No need for a hammer to tap in or file to take off the edges of the pads.
If I'm being picky the only niggle was that the rear pad wear indicator was incorrectly oriented. This was removed.
The car came off the ramp and took it for its first test. Did 30 miles and was instantly impressed with the improvement and performance. From the off the brakes stopped the car more effectively.
I ran them for 150 miles then did around fifteen 60 to 30 mph brake tests then let em cool. This bedding in process was taken from EBC.
I've now put 500 miles on them (everyday user) and so far I only have good things to say about EBC Brakes.
The brakes are effective from cold.
Normal motorway driving no issues, especially when avoiding late lane changers.
B-road runs, there's a good one from Catsash in Newport to Monmouth and over to Abergavenny. This run convinced me that the brakes do work. The car was pushed as much as I dared and they help reigned in the speed through the entire run. The brakes were strong throughout.
Stopping distance is reduced so if needed I can brake later.
I'll post an update in the next 500 miles.
Based on the kit fitted to my car and my usage etc I would recommend EBC Yellowstuff and the standard dics as an excellent upgrade.
I will use EBC Brakes in the future and they have more kit available if I need to upgrade further.

Had my set of blues fitted for about 3 weeks now and done approx 1000 miles, bite from cold is as good if not better than oe equipment, when you get some heat into them I’d probably guess there’s not a lot that would better them and along my favourite back road, where I’ve had brake fade on every set of discs and pads I’ve had fitted after about 10mins, these just kept on going with no signs of fading, I’m going on a fairly long drive out on sunday along 90% B roads so i’ll let people know if there’s any changes to my thoughts then.

Hello from California!
My name is Ryan from Temecula, California. and I drive a 2007 Satin White Pearl STI. My Hobbies include Modifying Cars, Car Shows, Racing Cars, Track Events and Social events.
My STI is a Daily Driven/Show/Race Car, I purchased the car in mid January of 2008 with the intention of modifing not only to look good but to perform just as well. My first thought was to modify the car for show only but after going to some local San Diego SCCA Auto X events I quickly got hooked on driving it. I have done nearly all of the work done to this vehicle by myself, and have learned a great deal along the way. At this time, I actively participate in car shows, meets, and events in and around Southern California.
I have been doing a lot of work to the car, I did a full Chargespeed Type 1-A Body kit from Japan for the shows. I have also done a lot more suspension work to the car for the track such as steering stabilizers, frame bracing, Solid bushings, BFGoodrich R1 Track Tires. The car handles amazing now with just a bit more frame stiffening and Track tires. I just recently just shot for Import Tuner Magazine so hopefully my feature article will be out in the next few months. I have been running EBC yellow stuff pads and EBC slotted rotors. The rotors seem to be holding up just fine for the type of heat and braking I am giving them. The brakes work fantastic and I would have no hesitation in recommending these having run half a season on one set of yellows. I am currently getting set up with the blue stuff set up. The blue stuff sound fun and I look forward to running those and comparing to the yellows.

I'm owner/driver of a two door impreza that runs in Time Attack Club Pro Class. I won the last round of Time Attack Club pro class at Cadwell Park 4 weeks ago.
Over the last 12 to 18 months I've used Performance Friction PF01, Ferrodo DS2500 & DS3000, Carbone Lorraine & Yellowstuff R compounds.
I had just removed a set of spent Performance Friction 01 pads from my car and needed to fit a set of pads when I saw this thread last week, I emailed Andy and the EBC production team delivered a set of new generation Bluestuff pads within a few days.
My set-up is:
Front: Alcon monoblock 6 piston calipers, 365mm Alcon fully floating discs, new generation EBC Bluestuff pads
Rear: Compbrake 4 pot competition callipers, 330mm Compbrake discs, Performance Friction 01 pads.
Castrol SRF fluid. No servo assist. Full Michelin R18/240 slicks all-round.
I fitted the pads last Friday and headed off for testing at Donnington Saturday lunchtime, I had a friend of mine with me for the day, Time Attack Pro driver Gav Renshaw. We unloaded, set-up the car and was out for our first session at about 2pm.
There is no easy way to bed race car pads in, I did about 7 laps nice and easy and cycled the pads about 40 or 50 times, no dramas with the brakes but obviously we weren't pushing them....... I hate the smell of burning fresh pads!!!
We let the car and the brakes cool down and then Gav headed out in the car for a full pace test; warm-up lap, all good, still a bit of a funny smell from the pads (to be expected)...second lap now full pace, 3rd corner, complete loss of power....Gav dumped the car on the grass and I took a quick look under the bonnet to the marshalls clear displeasure!!.....snapped throttle cable!!! at first I thought that would be our day over but...After a tow back to the pits and a good look at the broken throttle cable I set about making a repair, managed to get a good repair to hold by modifying and fitting a couple of bits and bobs I had packed in our race support vehicle.
By now we only had an hour of tracktime left and had only just run the pads in.....Gav went back out in the car with me riding passenger.....
3 easy laps, cold bite on the pads now good, bite at full temperature not quite there yet, but still breaking in, pedal starting to get nice and firm though under heavy braking (there are 4 heavy braking areas at Donnington, in my car on low boost its typically from 130mph+ down to 40-50mph). Once Gav had full confidence in the pads (I.e. no burning clutch smell and nice firm pedal) then he let rip with a few very quick laps, he is a very smooth driver....the brakes performed flawlessly, no fade, no judder, no fluid boil, no deposits on the disc, fantastic stopping power with the good progressive feel to the brake and an ability to modulate/control the applied braking forces.
I took to the car for the final session of the day, by now the brakes were fully bedded in an were improved again over Gav's session. I have good in car footage from the session and the braking forces are up at 1.3G, bearing in mind the pads had only had around a dozen or so laps at this point I thought this was a solid performance. I done around 8 laps and again experienced no fade or loss of performance. At no point did the tyres lock up so with further testing over the next month and with the new generation Bluestuff compound fitted to the rear of the car we should be able to find the limit of this pad compound/tyre combination.
I raced at AAA saloons at Castle Combe on Bank holiday Monday, however an electrical gremlin caused early retirement in the first race and cost me a podium finish in the second race, nevertheless the braking performance for the entire 13 lap 2nd race was predicable, reliable with a nice firm pedal repeatedly braking heavy from 135+mph and again comparable to the performance of the top spec racing pads I've previously used. I managed a number of overtaking manoeuvres by out braking competitors into corners.
From my experience to date I can say that these new generation Bluestuff pads offer excellent value for money and a performance that is comparable when compared to other top spec race pads out there on the market. I am intending on using these pads for the final round of Time Attack at Snetterton 10th October.
I should also say that I have no affiliations to EBC whatsoever and the above report is an unbiased assessment soley based on the performance of the EBC pads supplied.

We will be having our first order of bluestuff pads this Monday , we have a batch coming for our 335mm kit that uses the oversized pads , these will be a good compliment to an already great performing kit.
As most know , we have had a couple of sets to try , and quite a few customers of ours have also fitted them to our brakes on there cars with great results , we would rather test the products ourselves instead of just jumping on the bandwagon at the last minute. And If I think they are up to it , we will offer them for sale , these pads passed with flying colours
[u
This is one of our 335mm kits with the AP 6 pot calipers fitted to Tyron's car that was tested in this thread with some great results , so great that one of our competitors is even using these pictures to promote them
https://www.scoobynet.com/wales-26/8...-on-a4069.html
We will be having all other pad shapes sent out to us around the 10th of Sept when the first batch of production line pads are finished , no one supplier will get them first as they are claiming on there web site , they will be available to all the chosen suppliers of these pads.
We will as well be offering some very very good UNBEATABLE deals on the bluestuff pads and our own range of grooved discs , so keep an eye on the group buy pages at the end of this week
Buy with confidence from Scoobynets No1 ranked braking specialist
We are also taking names on a really really super dooper super special pre-order basis that I think is the best kind of pre-order you can get so once again , Godspeed lead the way

Well I received my Redstuff pads today I will get my EBC discs tomorrow and am booked in at RCM for Saturday morning! LOL, I am so so impatient I am glad Olly can fit me in. I cant wait to try them tbh.
Just for anyone who may be wondering why Redstuff and not Yellow or the now famous Blues, it is all down to my everyday driving style! Although I like to drive fast I very rarely make time for it nowadays, so most of my driving is normal boring commuting or "long way home" runs. So Andy felt these would suit me better. Like everyone I will have a long bed in process to go through with these but will post my findings on here as soon as I get back Saturday and then thereafter once bedded in in around 1k miles time. lol.

test results after 6 weeks approx 1200 miles
Hi Andy sorry i havent posted my results for the bluestuff test up for a while, due to me moving house and waiting to be reconnected to the web. my bluestuff and grooved and dimpled discs test results are as follows after 6 weeks and 1200 miles approx, being good bite from cold and work even better when hot with very minimal brake dust and are certainly a vast improvement on the last batch. i do however experience brake squeal even with plenty of copper slip on, overall braking is excellent and a credit to EBC.
A silly question but will i be experiencing the brake squeal because i fitted them back in with the oem metal shims or do i just fit the bluestuff pads without these metal shims as the pads themselves have built in shims?
Also i can not believe there are people selling the sets you kindly sent them out, they need to be shamed lets find out who they are! there are lots of people on here who would have liked the opprtunity to test these

you should never have fitted a second set of shims and this is the problem, your pads have very likely gone
1) Over thick
2) Possibly dragging and overheating
3) Boiling all that copper slip on you put on there
5) Rattling around unsupported with two layers of shims
You need please to take those OE shims off and retain on there only the black ones we send the pads out with.
Sorry my friend, dont mean to be rude but you have created a bit of a problem for yourself here and thats why youre not getting the perfect results.
Cheers Andy
