Cossie is a car you buy with your heart and not your head mate. I know why you want one. I had a mint 350bhp 4x4 saff and to this day its still the best memories of a car ive ever had.
Even an equal powered cossie will be point to point slower and less capable than the impreza. But little compares to the feeling/emotion a well powered cossie provides.

But driving a cossie is a feeling that scoobs just dont provide. Your scooby is a nice one mate and i think you'll deffo regret selling it. But a cosworth sized itch is something that every true petrolhead should scratch.

Cossie excitement is just something else.

Frayz, it's definately an itch I want to scratch, although I'm not sure when!!

Is there reliability issues with the Escorts then? I know the old Sierras and Sapphires are prone to breaking down, quite regularly, but surely the Escorts are better?

Maybe I'll need to find someone local to let me have a wee blast in one

Glenn, I do feel safer in the Scoob than any other car I've had/ driven, apart from the RS4 and GTR

You would be mad to sell her, especially after having such a good engine build done. Fit a quieter exhaust and enjoy some trackdays.

My exhaust is quiet

Think I might get it on the track, was going to for Rally Day but they wanted confirmation too early

Unless you need the money I'd keep it, it does look mint

I rarely use mine, but I wouldn't be without it, especially since I've had it remapped

if you do end up selling Merv why not pick up an Impreza you can use as an everyday car?

Before I bought my latest Impreza I was holding out for a Spec C but realised I was going to kid-glove one instead of just get on with using it.

I bought a blob STI PPP so I can just use it whenever. If it was something special I would end up garaging it most of the time and hardly using it.

I know what would happen next - I would fail to see the point in having it at all and end up selling.

I wont be doing any mods to it mechanically, just servicing etc.

Its got enough power for everyday use and can put a smile on my face.

Sell it and buy the Esc Cos. In 5 years time the scoob will be worth less than it is now, the cossie will have gone up in value.
