Are you aware that changing gear usually sorts that "problem"

how much more do you think you could pull out of it if you changed to a bigger turbo just for figure's not drivabillity.

Wow

Can I ask whats the full spec?

And what does it make on

A) straight vpower
B) vpower plus a little meth

As I am sure you have tested both out

What do you run it on everyday?

Congratulations all the hard work has paid off, looks like I am in the wrong business too lol

full spec and build up info is in projects in my "perfection" thread.

A) I only run 1.5bar on my vpower map.. whcih is 500bhp, if I want to go quick then I want decent fuel in there.
B) I have never run this much boost on meth, I only ran it on the racefuel as I wanted to test it to check my theory out before committing to a race fuel to run a Ten of the Best team car on as time maybe limited to get that mapped up and didn't want to have play around with different race fuels etc
The same boost (1.9bar) made 604bhp on both race and 10% meth and vpower so I suspect the meth may do similar to the racefuel maybe 650. The engine is very efficent and flows very well.

10% meth and vpower 99.9% of the time.. only put it on vpower and 1.5bar if taking it a long distance.

Thats a really impressive printout but i love the comment:

A) I only run 1.5bar on my vpower map.. whcih is 500bhp, if I want to go quick then I want decent fuel in there.

I take it the car is slow on the vpower map

Outstanding, just goes to show how far tuning has come, loads of cars over 500bhp when years back people said it couldn't be achieved

was discussing yesterday and the engine and turbo setup with Steve at SMG today..
I didn't actually get to the point were it stopped making power yestersday.. I just didn't want to cook the r888s on the dyno so kept the runs to a minimum and was more than happy with that figure.

I must be close to the max of the turbo though.. it has a 62lb wheel so generally you would consider 10bhp a lb.. so 620bhp.. give or take a bit.. so it has given a fair bit.

I would imagine over 700 on the billet version is possible.. all being well - maybe someone wants to sell me one cheap, hint hint

I would expect to hit a limit at a certain point where the engine cannot flow enough air or the exhaust cannot flow enough exhaust out of the engine.. but at the moment it all seems to be working very well.

no it has embarressed some serious machinery on the 500bhp vpower map as it only weighs about 1200kgs.

no it is quieter.. it was measured at Elvington at under 90db.. but it does currently have an unsilenced screamer pipe which I need to sort before driveby monitored trackday
