How are you running more than one map fella? Autronics can only run one at a time can't it (what I've been told) ...

Good result and a very similar spec to mine! What size housing are you using on the turbo and how does it spool on the road?

Excellent figures and very unstated looking car, what do you think the car would make mapped for 20% methanol instead of race fuel?

Plus - it's so shiny!
To preserve the "standardness" theme, is there no way you can get the noise level down a bit? I wouldn't have thought a large capacity rear box and maybe a resonator would reduce the power level to any great degree? (although I imagine a fair amount comes from the front end?) Power with sensible sound level is even more impressive.
I remember watching an Escort Cossie (MA Developments IIR?) at Trax do the 0-60 Looked bog standard, original wheels and very little noise or fuss. You could see the people's eyes widen when the time of 3.6 sec came up! I'm sure yours would be capable of comfortably beating that but could you do it with his noise level???
Have you any plans?

JohnD

PS Now Iv'e seen your photo, I remember you working on my STi at Zen back in '08 ?

It's a 0.82 housing. Full boost on the road at circa 4200rpm

I would think around the 600 mark. I might give it a try, as i've got plenty of Methanol kicking around at the moment.

It's probably not as shiny as it looks in the pics - Credit to the photographer
I've got a Miltek sports catted system coming soon for it. Had the H&S for around 4 years and my eardrums are completely sick and tired of it. Extended periods on the motorway at cruising speeds require earplugs, and as you can imagine, my neighbours love me.
I don't think i'll ever be able to make it sound standard, but the new exhaust will certainly help matters.

Fiestaboy,
I was in a similar situation to you previously, regarding issues with exhaust noise. I went from a ScoobySport "loud" design (as requested and by design) straight through system, to a Miltek with no cats and small downpipe & centre resonator. This decreased the sound levels by quite some margin, as the ScoobySport system measured 105db IN the car at higher revs. However I still struggled at some track events. I then changed the Miltek centre section for another Miltek one, but with the larger resonator. This has knocked the noise level right down and does not seem to cause any noise issues at all.

If you are using resonators then keep an eye on them at this power level..... I blew the wadding out of mine from the first Miltek system I used. This did not help the noise levels obviously.

Frayz has got a nice bespoke system made by Simpsons (i think) that is amazingly quiet.

Fozzies right Rich... i had a bespoke 3" system made by simpson race exhausts. Im sure Neil at TLogic could do the same.

It was expensive but worth it imo. Its a full lightweight 3" stainless system with 2 repackable race silencers in there. Its very quiet. Heres a clip. 91.5dB static @ 4500rpm.

I'll be using the exact same setup when my 35R goes on.

Going to try the catted Miltek first, because it's a freebie

I'll modify the system to fit my RCMS downpipe, then I can easily swap between the two, for loud and quiet trips out.

Failing that, I'll speak to Neil @ TLogic - I know his work is very good, he used to make exhaust manifolds for the Audi RS4 tuner that I previously worked for - MRC Tuning.

Next mod will be to fit the Cosworth Intake Manifold that I've got hold of, then tweak the map for a little more boost - see if I can get this thing knocking on the door of 650hp at the flywheel

Quick Reply: Finally, my car gets 600+hp on the Dyno.
