If I'm totally honest I bought this for all the wrong reasons lol.
My reasons were as follows... To own something Apple to understand the hype, to bring something back from Florida other than trainers for once, to have something to do on the plane home, and to get a "bargain" lol
If and when magazines I read are available for the iPad I would happily read them on here. Lazy site browsing is also effortless.
Other than that I can't say I have much more use for it at all lol
Over priced, probably, but so are trainers lol.
In fairness you can do a bit more on them than just read, for me the weather and traffic apps are nice to use on a large screen.

But then again we are in Florida so were lucky. Just checking the store stock now, and cant find any left.
Our 2 came from seperate stores 40 miles apart, last one from each. They have 64gb 3G left, thats it. I wonder why lol

Finally got my 32GB 3G from Curry's after ringing their helpline to enquire about stock at the local megastore, when they said they had just received some they did a "Ring & Reserve" for me which would hold it for up to 24 hours. I collected it within 1!
Still got my name on the waiting list at the apple store and best buy though, haven't got round to cancelling it yet.

lol, I only decided I wanted one a few days ago, and went on a mission to get one. Orlando, and Apopka had them in, so we did a round trip from here lol.
So come on then, fellow new owner.... what apps have appeared on yours ?
Missus is busy playing spot the difference and wheres wally. I can handle games like that, just not "playing" games lol

A few traffic cams just to see what they were like
Flixster - movies
IMDb
NASA
Shazam
What have you got?

The more I'm using it, the more I'm loving it.
The "always on" aspect is brilliant. Having not got an iPhone or similar that sort of function is new to me.
No more waiting for my laptop to fire-up just to check my email etc.
.....yeah, yeah, I know, welcome to 2005

lol cheers for that Jack, i would have expected nothing less from you
Not sure I need amazing changes to it tbh.
Oh a question for those in the know. How do you skip to the bottom/top of a page when browsing, or do you just drag?

Picky, Picky. I don't even know how to go to the end of the page using Safari. Just a flick on my Magic Mouse does the job, you should get one, best mouse in the world.

People keep saying they are browsing the Web with their Ipad, funny since it's not able to show Flash content meaning your thrown back about a decade as far as browsing is concerned.

From what I have been reading on various sites, a lot of the BIG websites are in the process of changing/upgrading to HTML5 to accommodate the ever growing number of iPhone and iPad owners worldwide.

Call it their fault for choice of coding, or Apple's fault for refusing to p[lay ball..... Either way, it prevented me doing something I wanted to do, so its a bit irritating.
Thank heavens for having the netbook to hand lol.
Not sure which will happen first, but Flash IS still out there, and still being used, that cannot be denied. Hopefully that wont happen too many more times.
Other than Flash content, the iPad is pretty ok at browsing, a few PITA's for me, but nothing too major.
Now to find some video's, films, or TV episodes to watch lol

HTML5 is far from being the standard and it will take years before it's implemented all over the web.
It's the lack of conveniance that bothers me, just like the lack of any USB port, or media card port. The Ipad would be ideal to show/check your digital pictures you just took with your digital camera.
Now you have to use a computer and I-tunes to get those pics on your Ipad.

Having just spent almost $800 on the device, I am left to spend more for any kind of protective case, another $30 for a USB converter etc... That is a little wrong imo. So to plug anything into it, I have to make my "pretty" device ugly hanging things out the bottom of it. USB or even micro USB would have been good.
Also the credit card thing. To activate the pad you need an iTunes account, and for that they want your credit card details, even if you dont want to buy anything. Want to trial MobileMe...... credit card details please ! WTF !
Grade..... B, nice try but can do better.

Apple do a camera adaptor that has a card slot and USB port for downloading photos directly from your camera.
